Comments Thread For: Lomachenko Manager: What Good Would Salido Rematch Do For Us?

OXON HILL, Maryland Maybe a rematch with Orlando Salido doesn't mean as much to Vasyl Lomachenko as it once seemed. Lomachenko's manager wants the Ukrainian star to move up from 130 pounds to 135 for his next fight. Egis Klimas mentioned fighting WBO world lightweight champion Terry Flanagan (33-0, 13 KOs) as Lomachenko's possible next move, with an eye on an eventual lightweight championship showdown with WBC champ Mikey Garcia (36-0, 30 KOs).

There goes Egis Klimas running his mouth again.
I can't stand this guy sometimes.
It feels like he is trying to make his fighters look bad on purpose at times.

Oh well, guess Lomachenko will go the Khan route, avoiding fighters who gave him a tough fight. Well if he fights Mikey next, no one is going to care about Salido rematch, but it has to be Mikey. I think anyone else, it won't matter. It's between Mikey, Salido, Berchelt and Corrales and I think fans would prefer Mikey or Salido next but Berchelt and Corrales are acceptable because they are top 5 SFW's and major title holders.

Didn't read article but I feel the same way, I don't feel like a rematch at this point will mean anything. Lomachenko will win easily. If they they REALLY cared about proving a point they would had rematched Salido sooner.

Why wouldn't they want to avenge the loss to salido? And salido Is one of the top names at 130.

Avenge a loss for one thing. The fact that you think you're much more improved is even more of reason to make the fight.

Even Gary Russell is begging for his rematch.

A rematch wouldn't do no good. He don't want two Ls on his resume. Dude has salido problems.
