  • Comments Thread For: Lomachenko Would Face Mikey Garcia Right Now, Eyes Crawford

Vasyl Lomachenko easily retained his WBO junior lightweight title on Saturday, with a dominating boxing display over Jason Sosa, whose corner pulled the plug at the end of the ninth round. Tons of respect if he follows through on this. Even if Crawford crushes him, I would never hold it against Loma because at least he would have had the balls to seek greatness.

People are talking Garcia but I would like to see how these guys match up first: Miguel Berchelt, Jezreel Corrales, and Gervonta Davis. And if he wins against those guys, then these guys: Mikey Garcia, Jorge Linares, Robert Easter Jr, and Terry Flanagan. But hell, I would like to see all these guys against each other. We need a tournament.

I feel the same way. Always felt people hated on dawson unfairly. He went after a legend in Hopkins twice, beat him, then instead of pulling a Stevenson he agreed to DROP in weight to fight the number 2 pound for pound fighter. After that he came back up in weight to fight a guy in Stevenson who everyone hates but has to acknowledge the devastating power. Instead of commending him for trying to shoot for the hall of fame, people just made fun of him. It was unfair, like god damnit he was the first one to clearly beat Hopkins in like twenty years.

Kinda off topic but yea, it's weird how Bad Chad went from being "the man" to totally forgotten about. He's done at this point but he was really talented in his prime. After Kovalev, everyone's like, "No one has ever done that to Hopkins!"
Uh... Chad just dominated him like a year or two before...
