The people that think Ward is going to walk through Kovy are dreaming. If anything we learned three things in the first fight.

1. Kovy is a good boxer in addition to being a good puncher
2. Ward is very creative and has a ton of resilience
3. Kovy hurt Ward at LEAST 3 times - the flash knockdown, 1st round jab, and jab landed in second half of fight (~round 9)

He will walk through Kovalev. Ward even said Miranda and Froch were way harder than Kovalev, these fights looked less competitive for boxing fans , but I think he knows better, assuming that he was inside that ring, and these fans weren't

I had the first fight 114-113 for EITHER guy. It was tha close.

I do think Ward is better prepared to avoid the flash KD again and knows he has to get inside for body work, but Kovy can box and ties up well on the inside. Anyone who thinks "ward clinched entire first fight" is flat out WRONG. Kovy did most of the clinching in the 1st half of the fight and once he stopped holding Ward got to the body even more.

Look for Kovy to hold MORE in the 2nd fight and it'll depend on the ref on whether that tactic is penalized or if Ward will have to find a new way to get inside

That's a major factor. Will they get a ref that will allow inside fighting? Refs are so quick to break up the fighters instead of letting them work.

Man, he probably forgot about that Boone knockdown, but in the other interview, he said it was second KD in his career and it's some weird coincedence, the fact that Boone knockdown happened at the same date, same month and same day, but with 10 years of difference.

i hear this nonsense narrative but when i watch the fight its ward initiating all the clinches so what are you seeing? ward would wrap his arm aroudn kov first and sometimes kov would respond by clinching him up so ward couldnt hold and hit him. thats not clinching. thats responding to being clinched. please pay more attention.

did you see his face when they gave him the decision? he was shocked out of his mind. the fighters know more than anyone. there wasnt a sngle round that he clearly won yet he thought it wasnt competitive? ward knows kov outlanded him. ward knows kov landed the better punches. ward knows the only thing he could land was little punches while clinching or clinching then hitting after they broke up. what hes doing is called pretending.

Only if Kovalev wins on points. Even then it's a big if considering that he himself and the majority of the boxing world thought he won the first encounter.

If he KO's him, I doubt he'd want to go through all this diva BS again.
