Like I said bubba, Ward would be laughed outta town any time he'd go to any boxing event if he'd retired. He may as well have put a sign on his back 'I'm Scared Of Kovalev'. So yeah, he HAD to take this fight.

1st no he wouldn't 2nd he beat kov already so he didn't have to fight him for legacy purposes or reputation purposes.

Didn't you scream at the top of your lungs that Ward would never fight Kovalev and then scream even louder that Ward wouldn't rematch him?

"Andre ward didn't have to do it. But he did." See,that's just plain wrong. The first fight had an rematch clause,which kovalev used. Ward was legally obligated to give him the rematch,or they would have met in court instead of the ring. A little research goes a long way.

i didnt think he would but im not interested in the rematch at all, sorry if that doesnt make me much of a boxing fan but i enjoy entertaining fights, not interested by wrestling and jabs to the body. thats not boxing to me.

Most objective boxing fans knew this fight was going to be close and that's exactly why there was a rematch clause. Hmmmmm....
