Khan is so outta touch, everyone knows why he wont fight Brook. He will make more money waiting for and getting KO'd by Pacquiap while fighting a nobody in between. He has no balls or national pride he is just the biggest joke in boxing.

Took khan long time to come up with this reason. The trash talk begun ages ago though.
Brook should promise to be nice to khan if he wants fought. That in itself would be interesting

Interesting excuse. He's basically saying the fight has been so well promoted, and there is so much bad blood for this fight, that it's reached a point where pacifism is now what is needed to heal the nation, not a fight. What good does all that negative energy bring, really?

As an American boxing fan, I don't really care. Brook-Khan would be a good scrap, but unless Khan can beat a Thurman for example, he's not really a threat for the division crown, so it's not really meaningful. It's more like Canelo-Chavez Jr to me than Kovalev-Ward, GGG-Jacobs, or GGG-Canelo. I think Brook-Spence is a much more meaningful fight between two guys still trying to be the true champ of that division, even though I think Spence's style is all wrong for Brook.

Then if Brook wins, Thurman is the more meaningful fight. Even if he loses, like I said styles make fights. I'd still want to see Brook-Thurman even if Brook loses to Spence, although Spence-Thurman must be first.

I think Khan needs to avenge that DSG loss before he proves he is a threat to Brook, Thurman, or Spence. Or if it's really just going to be big event fights from here on out, then Pacquiao-Khan is the big event "just for fun and entertainment" fight that has the best style clash. Khan's height advantage, reach advantage, speed advantage, decent power and bad chin vs Pacquiao's power, chin, angles and combinations. A lightning bolt fire fight between two of the most entertaining and flashy punch-throwers in the sport. That is a great fight, and like Jacobs vs GGG, Khan could come in with a huge weight advantage to take Pacquiao's punches.

It's a great fight because Pacquiao is NOT a true welterweight. Kell Brook on the other hand is almost as big as Canelo, and he's better at certain things than Canelo too, so I'm not sure that ends any other way for Khan.

Just my two sense. One thing I agree with Khan is this. Hate may be good for exciting boxing fights, but true hatred is almost never warranted. Extreme dislike, however, is also great for exciting boxing fights, and it is also extremely warranted sometimes and even constructive if the person causing that dislike can reflect on why and maybe become a less unjust person. But here's the thing... I don't think extreme dislike is really warranted for Brook vs Khan because like I said, the fight is not important enough to warrant that.

And I mean, normally the dislike would be warranted if a guy is ducking, but how can you dislike Khan that much when he's already been knocked out however many times fighting the best? He was willing to fight Canelo so he is not afraid of Brook. I think fighting Canelo proved that Khan really isn't "ducking" per se, he just really means what he says between the lines, which is that the Brook fight is his golden goose, his insurance fight, that will always be there, and he wants Brook to build his name the same way Khan did before the fight happens, so that Khan can Mayweather-Pacquiao the **** out of the thing and wait until the money will be at its absolute highest.

I think that's why Khan is saying stuff like "I made Kell Brook" and "maybe it's not a good idea to fight him." He is playing the part of a duck and an arrogant guy to build up the hate and build up the fight I think. Not to say Khan has never genuinely said anything deluded or even arrogant, although I can't remember any examples of the latter, but this really does just seem like promoting. Brook has Spence. Khan wants to get the Pacquiao fight before Pacquiao retires. That will make Khan even bigger win or lose probably, but especially if he pulls it off. If in that time Brook can also get a Canelo fight, or a Cotto, or even a Thurman or Danny Garcia after Spence, then that would grow Brook's name.

I think that is the strategy of a lot of these guys with local fan bases. They know the local fight will always sell no matter what, so their plan is to go get the big money international fights first, because even if they lose those, the big local fight will still be there. Where the other way around, if Khan loses to Brook at 147, the Pacquiao fight might not be there anymore.

I mean, we just saw this with Crolla. They took Linares twice first before Flanagan, because they knew Flanagan would always be there. Maybe they miscalculated but it will probably happen eventually. Look how much money Haye-Bellew made even though both had already lost international fights badly. Look at Monahan and Joe Smith in New York. After Smith's big win vs BHOP, they could have made money fighting Monahan in New York, but instead they chased Adonis Stevenson even though it was a tougher fight, and possibly less money. But they knew even if they lost to Stevenson, the Monahan fight would still be viable, whereas if they made the Monahan fight first and lost, the fight with Stevenson no longer would be.

I think Khan is doing the same here. He is playing a British Amir 'Money' Khan character to enrage the fans and make the Khan-Brook fight huge. Maybe now all the hatred he is illiciting is becoming too crazy, so he wants to walk it back a little bit and make sure both sides preach respect now since the dislike and the hype of the fans dye has already been cast, or maybe he's still just saying whatever it is that will make the fight bigger, and make more people pay to see him lose. Like I said, Amir 'Money' Khan. But since I do think it's an act, it's hard for me to really feel that way.

Amir Khan has never been a ducker or a coward in boxing. I disliked Floyd not just because of his behavior and arrogance, but because he refused to ever back up his words with his opponent selection. As a boxing fan I wanted to see him vs the best in their prime, and he never obliged. He ran a con game, and I don't like con artists, especially ones who con huge fan bases who become extremely biased and detrimental to the state of boxing as well. Why would any boxing fan like that?

That's why I disliked Floyd, and wanted him to lose. But Khan? He has already tried his best to back up his talk, and he has already been in wars and given spectacular fights win or lose. So for me personally, his arrogant act is not going to make me pay to see him knocked out. Plus, we've already seen it multiple times. Am I supposed to root for him to have permanent brain damage or something? No thanks.

But, I Imagine for the Brits who understand the geography and various culture clashes over there, socially engineered by the Intelligence Communities for decades, I'm sure they do care. A half white, half black British boxer from some lispy region of Britain against a British ****** boxer probably has some sort of (like I said socially engineered) cultural history over the last few decades that will effectively emotionally invest many fans. I'm just guessing. But for me, there are other fights I'd rather see, and other boxers more worthy of being disliked as a boxer than Amir Khan.
