Jacobs is talented but so was Ricky Burns and Gamboa. When Postol schooled Matthysse, he was "a beast!" When he gets schooled by TC, "he's nobody." For some reason Crawford and Mikey Garcia can't get the same love that GGG and Loma get, and it's ****ing ridiculous!
You comparing Burns to Jacobs? Burns doesn't belong in the discussion. Him and his 11KOs at the time were never a threat to Crawford. His biggest win was against Beltran, Jacobs KO'd Quillin in one round and was by far the bigger man in the ring versus GGG. Gamboa had a legit resume coming into the fight but he was outgunned, too small, giving up four inches and at least ten pounds or more. He was at a physical disadvantage, whereas GGG was at a physical disadvantage versus Jacobs.
Mikey Garcia doesn't get the love yet because he is another one who drains himself two weight classes and then blows up way bigger than his opponents on fight night. Once he starts beating some big names he can start calling the shots. Until then, he needs to move his ass up to 140 and fight Broner and Crawford instead of calling out smaller opponents.
If you can't see why Loma gets so much love then no one can help you see the light. He is exciting, he has taken on big challenges from his debut, and he is winning by closing the show against feared opposition like Walters. He's not doing just enough to survive or squeak out a UD, he's bringing it. More than we can say for Crawford who chose to skate past Postol instead of sealing that win with a stoppage.

Mikey has done very little in the last 3 years. I thought he looked poor against Burgos and struggled to cut the ring down on him, then ducked Gamboa and went missing. I think he's an excellent offensive technician however, just hasn't done much lately and isn't as rounded as Lomachenko and Crawford. I have him just outside the top 5.
Holyfield didn't have a "great record" on paper, but give me 36-3 Evander over 40-0 Wilder. ANY DAY. Marquez record isn't as pristine as Sven Ottke's but I know Marquez is vastly superior. Records aren't everything you've got to look at the actual fights, circumstances, who you fight and when etc;

He's right in a sense, when Floyd fought the likes of Mosely, Oscar, Hatton and Marquez, they were old and past their prime but when Manny fought some them after, he got all the credit in the world. Just like Manny gets all this credit for beating Morales and Barrera even though they were already done and past their prime. Keep in mind that after beating Manny in his 50th fight, Morales never beat a top fighter after that. Manny was Barrera's 62nd and 70th fight, Barrera never beat a top fighter unless you count an under achieving Rocky Juarez. Both Morales and Barrera were on the way out but they never bring that up and give Manny all the credit in the world while they criticize other fighters and nit pick their wins.

Pacquiao won't even get in the ring with you, champ. He's off picking cherries.
Just keep improving and mastering your craft and winning. F the haters.
