I don't get the point of this article other than as insult to Wilder. I actually like both Joshua and Wilder but comparing the two in terms of popularity is ridiculous. As an American heavyweight Wilder is par for the course. However, Joshua being a British heavyweight with potential is rare territory. We're talking Lennox Lewis type potential. If the roles were reversed and Wilder was British (with his personality), he would be bigger than Joshua. On the hand, if Joshua was American he probably wouldn't even be popular Alabama.

joshua is way more famous in his country than wilder is in his own country without a doubt.... Also boxing isnt as popular in america as it is in the ukthis is true. Wilder also fought at barclays center in brooklyn, ny and vegas when he beat stiverne. I mean joshua sells more tickets, but i know what you mean. I like them both so i'm good. They're both great for the sport, the heavyweights and i hope they fight each other soon.Comment

American heavyweights have all been BUMS since the 90's
Britain has had Lennox Lewis, David Haye (still better than any american for 25 years) and now joshua
You have had nobody.
So stop acting like american heavyweights are superior because in this lifetime, they arent.Comment

An American gold medal winning heavyweight? I'm sure he'd do well as an American.Comment
