Just because your favorite fighter fights in a division does not mean you have to hype up the other fighters who have literally done nothing.

So does LHW, Ward and Kovalev.

But no. Saunders is mediocre, Eubank Jr is untested, we already know Lee's and Lemiuex's limitations. N'Dam hasn't fought anyone decent since 2 years ago (Lemiuex) and he lost. Khurtsidze is underrated, had him beating N'Dam comfortably.

Canelo, Golovkin, and Jacobs are good. Jacobs has proved himself with his performances vs Quillin and GGG.

It's, tops, a 4 fighter weight class. LHW is better with Ward, Kovalev, Beterbiev, Alvarez, Barrera, Stevenson, Smith Jr. All those fighters have beaten someone good. Can't say the same for those guys at MW.

With that said 130 and 147 are the best. 175 a close 3rd. HW is a solid 4th place.

Good analysis. Billy Joe Saunders actually beat 2 of the top 10 middleweights in the rankings. He beat Andy Lee and Chris Eubank Jr. Middleweight has good fighters as you mentioned. But a lot of other divisions do as well. I think 147 is better. But 160 is good too, one of the top divisions. Alot of the divisions you mentioned are spot on. What this ultimately means is we have some good boxing to look forward too!

Even cruiserweights are better. You got Usyk, Gassiev, Lebedev, Briedis, Bellew, Glowacki, Haye, Huck man a lot of good names in that division

160 is one of the best divisions right now. Maybe not the best.

But you will find people don't really keep up to date with this stuff.

People were still raving about how deep and amazing 168 was long after the supersix bunch were all gone and it was badou jack types.

By the time people realize how good 160 is it probably won't be good anymore.

I think boxing fans tend to be afraid to say the wrong thing.

Beterbiev and Sullivan have a weaker resume than Saunders. Neither one has truly beaten someone good (well, define good). I think Beterbiev will be a top dog eventually, but right now, he's no different than a Sergiy Derevyanchenko or Maciej Sulecki at the middleweight division at this point. Immanuwel Aleem & Ryota Murata are two more prospects to look at.

Plus, you have Jermall Charlo who just moved up to middleweight and remains to see how well he fits in at that weight.

I would still give the edge to 175 over 160, but in a year or so time that can very well change. There's more prospects to keep an eye out for at 160, IMO.
Didn't Beterbiev beat kovalev twice in the amateurs?

One of the weakest. Speaks volumes when a 42yr old Sam Soliman, a methed up 40yr old shot Jermain Taylor, Daniel Geale and a whole heap of other in truth domestic level fighters winning world titles.

You've got GGG & Jacobs and that is it.
Saunders is talented...for all of 3 rounds. Eubank Jr? Novice that can't even throw a straight punch & hasn't beaten anybody in the top what, 40? 50? 100?

                    The division is whack.

                      p4p

Jacobs is better than Pascal and 50 yr old Hopkins. There's a current P4P fighter whose best wins are over those 2. P4P Jacobs is better than Jack and Degale.
