Is it against the law to like Ward and GGG?

I am a fan of skilled fighters with sublime abilities and technical skill. Hence I am a fan of them both. I tend to find myself arguing with morons like Daggum though. Really puts a damper on my fandom.

BTW, heads-up, if you like Mayweather or Ward, don't you dare try liking Loma. That privilege is reserved for people those who hate Mayweather and Ward so that they can claim their side is winning. (winning what? I don't know)

Also, don't claim to like Loma if you think he lost to Salido. Loma fans must be prepared to issue a list of excuses for that fight whenever it is mentioned. Any fans not making excuses will be attacked without warning.

Well, you'd think a guy that clinches excessively would get points deducted.

Can't recall this happening with Andre.

And that last fight, it was the other guy clinching, with headlocks no less.

Probably why all 3 judges saw it for Ward.

No, it's Grovelewskin I was referring to.

        I don't respect him.

I think that after 5 years, he's had plenty of time to man up to Loeffler and Sanchez and say "get me this fight"

Hasn't seen his way clear to do so, apparently.

        Thanks for the laugh.

there is nothing wrong with liking both. i understand wards style isnt fan friendly or suited for casuals. but for guys to come on boards and constantly knock ward for everything he does. while constantly making excuses for golovkins weak career? its beyond me and you should have your "fan" card pulled for that kind of stuff.

I respect resumes, nothing else matters to me when it comes to respecting fighters.

As far as who I like, it's a combination of who they beat and how they fight. Style, resume. That's it.

Everybody is different, if you like both GGG and Ward, great. It's not against the rules of boxing to like two rivals with two completely different styles and resumes. Just like it's not against the rules to dislike one fighter and like the other one.

Another thing is when a fighter is hyped up by a large group/consensus in the boxing community, is it warranted? Who did they beat? I look for that. For example the current P4P list excuse for some fighters there is "the eye test", "Do they look good" regardless of their resume. I don't agree with that, so i'm gonna argue against a lot of fighters being there without having to prove it. I don't like free passes cause you got some KO's against low class contenders.

It's nothing but a case of you trash my fighter, I trash yours. That's all there is to it. Neutral fans don't engage in that crap. They see it as it is. It's ****** to hold one fighter accountable to not being able to attract opponents, then give another one a free pass who is in the same situation. It takes two to tango. What good is saying resume says it all when you can't get the fight fans want you to fight? It's so ******. It's as if it's that easy to negotiate with a fearful opponent.

I like whoever I want. My two favorites are GGG and Canelo. Both of them are disliked very much on this board. Many Canelo fans don't like GGG and many GGG fans don't like GGG. I see no good reason to dislike either of them. I think they are both terrific fearless fighters in the ring and good people out of the ring. Many dislike them because they won't fight exactly who they want them to fight. They won't let the boxers chose their own opponents. GGG is now a bad guy because he won't give Jacobs an immediate rematch. Canelo is a big bad bully for making a fortune knocking out poor tiny little Khan. They are my favorites and I support them and root for them no matter who they fight.
