There's no such thing as "Lucky Punches" in boxing. That's a myth made up by casual fans to feel better about a loss.

People don't give Loma enough credit for having less than 10 fights yet being willing to fight the best. He is one of the best skilled fighters at such an early stage in their career that I've seen. But Mikey G is so damn good I don't see Loma beating him at all yet. Mikey is very smart and he fights that way. Great technical ability and has scary precision with his power.

Or other times a fighter where one boxer wins 2:50 seconds of the round but catches 1-2 good hits (But doesn't go down or is hurt) and he loses the round??? I forgot who used to do that but their was one boxer who used to do jack sht until the last 30 seconds to steal rounds???
When refs used to score rounds as well as referee the fight, Arthur Mercante used to divide the round into 3 one minute segments. If a fighter won 2 of the 3 minutes he won the round. I think it was a good system. It eliminated a bias for fast-handed boxers who do a lot of shoe shining in the 10 to 15 seconds and not much else during the rest of the round. There are a lot of smart people in the boxing scene. It seems to me that the sanctioning bodies could get together and appoint a panel of former boxers and other experts to do a study and come up with recommendations that the public can comment on before they are adopted. Given an agreed upon bench mark, the rest of us would have a better idea if those who put forth their PFP list are on the money, are putting their thumb on the scale for certain boxers, or are otherwise full of Craaap.

I don't know what the problem is with the Loma salido outcome, anyone who has the slightest idea about boxing and has watched the fight knows that salido should have lost multiple points due to low blows, throughout the fight you can see the ref actually see low blows and just ignore them, the funny bit about this is that if the same situation happened with any American fighter being hit low so many times all you guys would be outraged
