The black crowd was quiet in round 7 ... like they gave up. There wasnt a ton of action past that point .
Kovalev landed subtle rt hooks to wards ear and jaw along with rt uppercuts . He landed thudding jabs that snapped wards head back and backed ward up. Ward land an occasional body shot and a few glancing left hooks. Ward also missed completely and likely got credit for it.. .
Kovalev landed more power , more often and hurt ward three times in the second half of the fight and controlled the fight with his jab .
The mere fact that ward didnt win 6 straight rounds to end the fight is the tell all.

kovalev got hit with left hooks, jabs and plenty of body shots. kovalev held the rest of the fight since the 4th round.
