WBC lightweight champion Mikey Garcia (36-0, 30 KOs) is on the hunt for more world titles. Earlier this month, former world champion Yuriorkis Gamboa got back in the mix with a ten round decision win over Rene Alvarado in New York. As BoxingScene.com previously reported, Gamboa's next fight is being planned for May 5th at the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and the frontrunner to face him is Jayson Velez of Puerto Rico.
