kind of glad he took an L early in his career to a seasoned pro who would teach him a lot. Main reason though, now theres no '0' to protect, hopefully even his management and promoters will be happy to agree to him going up against very high risk fighters.

We know that even if a fighter wants to fight all comers, they dont get made because the 'team' around them doesn't let it happen if theres an '0' to keep in tact. I would like him to avenge it still mind, its a good pay day for siri, probs his best out there, and loma gets to move on from it, despite detractors will say it isnt the same siri... well, nor is it the same loma.

I'd like to see it, the first fight was quite simply a masterclass in cheating from Salido, and it was only a split decision. He was in there as a welterweight and was still almost stopped in the 12th.

I'm sure in a rematch Salido wouldn't be allowed to skip making weight and punch him in the balls 80+ times.

No concerns about that with Lomachenko, at all.

2nd fight - Salido. Next fight - Russell Jr. Moves up to fight an undefeated Walters a few fights later.

He's looking for the best opposition possible for every fight.

As much as I've called for a rematch in the past, Salido has made no noise about actually wanting it so I can't blame Loma anymore. Plus Salido is no longer the fight he once was and has been in too many wars, I doubt he wants any work with Loma unless its a final payday.

So Loma can carry on and unify 130 or fight at 135.

Salido vs Lomachenko 2 is needed at 130 lbs
Hahaha.....Salido already turned down a rematch, dude ran for the hills when they offered him the fight. He knew the deal, no shot in hell to win at this point.

Remember, Salido missed weight at 128.5lb at the weigh in and made no attempt to weigh-in again. Then on fight night, dude was the size of a welterweight at 147. Salido took advantage of loma's lack of professional experience with excessive low blows which should have resulted in a loss of points easy. But the ref did a poor job officiating and deducting points. So the fight was close and loma probably would've won if points were deducted for low blows. With all that said, Salido did what the veteran and less skilled guy should do. Take of advantage and bend the rules if the ref isn't warning him

That's my thought. Salido cheated at the scale and then proceeded to cheat harder and harder until he got a lucky decision. Not sure why so many people praise that. All in a guy's 2nd pro fight..

Moronic statement, he didn't bring him down in weight or anything, he was champion at that weight. Also Salido wasn't brained since he made no attempt to make weight.

Salido won by the skin of his arse in the first fight and ducked the rematch. He's nobody's "daddy".
