In their ideal world Gennady Golovkin would be viewed as ducking Billy Joe Saunders. They can go on defending against the Tommy Langfords and Krusty Khytrov's of the world.
    Nobody is ducking billy joe.

Finalizing details with Astana EXPO organizers is what is delaying the fight announcement. Hopefully they are small issues and not something more serious, like suddenly not wanting to pay the money they promised.
Credit to you for pulling the news out but it doesn't say that the deal is close to being done or not sure what the hold up is.. For sure they need to promote it too, so if anything they are reducing the promotion time of the fight..

I think Loeffler was asking for 40% as his opening bid, so pretty sure they would deal at 35% (if the deal is percentage - which I don't think it is).

Warren says everything between parties is done, and based on this article it's just with Astana. I wish the article said more details about that, but I am fishing the news pretty hard and if I find anything else I'll post about it.

Me too, I just asked my guy in Astana wtf is going on (he's involved with the Expo).

Might be some shadowy figure calling himself Dmitri La Hoyakin turning up out of nowhere and causing problems.......

This is the problem with boxing. Too much ego and A-side B-side crap!

GGG should take the fight. Absolutely no reason why he cant fight Saunders in June and still fight Canelo in Sept. Just another roadblock put up by Oscar.

If he doesn't take this fight he will regret it later.

Make it happen, screw Canelo. He can fight Lemiux for 200K PPVs.

There should be communication between the two teams. If the money in Astana is what's holding the fight up that should be relayed to Saunders. They should have had plan B and C as far as different venues such as the O2 in England and also here in the U.S. just in case Kazakhstan couldn't be done right now. This is Golovkins goal to unify all the belts so Loeffler should have definitely had other venues in mind to fall back on. Wow
