Before Jacobs, noone knew if a skilled boxer could go 12 rounds with Golovkin. Now we know its possible, its easier to imagine Ward going 12 and nicking enough rounds for an easy victory.

Like Jacobs, Ward is big enough to take anything Golovkin catches him with, so tend to agree with Roach here.

Not sure about Lara - sure, he can do the movement thing, but can he brush off getting caught. What we learned is that a big MW with skills can box him. Next question is can a small MW with skills box him.

Jacobs had enough of a 1-punch threat that Golovkin had to think his way in, and the foot movement to keep him resetting. Lara doesn't have that 1-punch threat.

Ward ? Depends on when Golovkin tasted it. If he felt he could barge in, it would turn into one of the ugliest fights imaginable.

Golovkin CANNOT fight well on the inside...let him barge in and get beaten up lol.

If you believe everyone, then they've both been guilty of making it not happen. As it stands there is 15 lbs of difference on weigh in day and I can't see who is going to budge. Golovkin would be a very small LHW.

Ward has never offered to fight GGG next, rather than .. next year, after I've had a couple of tune-ups first.

The only time they were both asked, by HBO, if they were ready to fight each other, GGG answered "yes" and Ward answered "no"

What other reason is it that GGG's team has steered him clear of fighting Ward? GGG's fans and team have made it a point to excuse his blatant avoidance of Ward. I'll fight anyone from 154-168 except Ward, but this was a very good move.

Ward wanted to fight Floyd at 160, but he wouldn't fight GGG at 164. Do you think he's scared of GGG?
