I could care less how much these fighters get its only relevant to me because GGG is using money as the reason for why he is pricing him see out of the fight. That's why fans being up him saying he wants 50/50 split and then laugh when he might not even cracked 100k buys. Why don't they have him sienna contract before the June fight and either that fight gets cancelled in June or ggg does both. They just want ggg to be inactive and age even more.

According to those same people:

Canelo vs Cotto did 650,000 PPV buys
Canelo vs Khan did 332,000 PPV buys
Canelo vs Smith did 220,000 PPV buys

So Canelo only sells that much more when he fights a bigger name opponent. But if GGG had fought Cotto, for example, instead of Canelo doing so, they would have probably sold at least 450,000 PPV buys. Point being, Canelo does draw more fans, but this multiplier logic is ******ed. At least 1+ milllion fans have watched GGG on non-PPV. The majority might not be fans, but put them in with someone they are a fan of, like Canelo, and suddenly you have more people buying PPVs because they know GGG is a good fight and it will be exciting.

That's a fight that does a minimum of 700,000 PPV buys. I'm 99% certain and willing to take a ban bet on that, assuming neither fighter loses any fights before they hopefully, eventually fight. Canelo can't do 700,000 PPV buys unless he has a name opponent. There aren't many left. Cotto is going to retire. Chavez Jr. might be able to do a rematch (we'll see)... and so forth.

Ggg caters to the Mexican crowd. It's why he says Mexican style and speaks Spanish post fight. He had 3 million views in Mexico vs brook. Canelo a couple weeks later vs khan had 18 million viewers. That speaks who has the fans behind them. Canelo fans buy his ppvs. Ggg fans just talk about it.
