          I don't think we need yet another documentary. What we need is a better film adaptation of his life than the one Michael Mann gave us. Don't get me wrong, Smith was great (a bit too sombre) but alot of the movie was historically inaccurate and much like the central performance, way too serious.

          We need a movie and a performance which captures the bright light that was Ali.

              they already made that. it was good documentary too. check out the video section for the movie, i remember someone share the bluray version of it.

                Ali needs a TV series. Movies are too short to cover his life; that's why they always seem too shallow. One Season on Netflix, HBO or Showtime 12 1 hour episodes.

                  This isn a movie which is odd that it would take take about 4 years which is a bit stretching it out .

                  Movies on average take 3 years to complete with big budget special effects ,etc ....nothing shocking about King Kong vs Godzilla coming out 2020 .
