The guy who really destroyed boxing is Alvarez.

He was poised to be the next Cash-cow, the next poster child of boxing.

And he had the Golovkin superfight to propel him into that status.

Instead he ran, vacated his belt, lost almost all of his fans and left a boxing void, that nobody is dominant enough or popular enough to fill.

I'm still trying to figure out why he's so highly regarded. If I'm not mistaken he's on pace to have the most catch weight fights ever, and he is only 26.
