Money is now the excuse, bottom line Stevenson tucked tail and ran away. I have been saying GGG has to take the money even when it was 10 mil so dont try and act like I said things I did not just to try and make a case

It's the truth all the Stevenson fan club seems to forget and that means no need for the second part since that is all they latch on to. The money is the complaint you guys have but Kovalev was willing to fight Stevenson wanted a way out. Now fights complete nobodies and has become a joke to most except the Haymon cheerleaders.

It's not an excuse it's a reason. Everybody was blaming Haymon at the time when in reality Stevonson was never happy with the deal. He brought in Haymon later to try and get him the deal he wanted.

But I'm just happy to say that I was in the arena when they did fight.
I agree with you that Mayweather vs McGregor is a ludicrous proposition as far as a legitimate boxing match is concerned but if it happened it would bring in serious cash. UFC fans would obviously buy a ticket or PPV and some boxing fans would as well, even if they might not be the first to admit it.
Floyd knows at this stage in his career a fight with McGregor would be the lowest risk for the highest reward. He doesn't care about the integrity of boxing or whether boxing's already suspect reputation takes further damage. He knows people will buy it just because of the media circus that will be produced as a result of the names involved. He's also counting on the apparent delusion of UFC fans who think McGregor is going to pile drive Mayweather into the canvas.

I really can't see Mayweather Canelo II happening, especially considering Canelo has finally moved up to middleweight. No way in hell is Mayweather going to go to 160 to fight Canelo. As for the first fight, after all the hype and build up, I thought it was fairly underwhelming and anticlimactic. Floyd vs Manny was more of the same, all talk and no action.

Wants Mayweather to fight Canelo at 160 just so they don't have to take the GGG fight.

We're not ****** Oscar, sticking Lemieux on the undercard. We know what you're up to.

Shows how highly Oscar thinks of Mayweather when he still considers him a viable option at 40. Amazing.

Mayweather/McGregor would serve a purpose in that there would never be another boxer vs UFC event after that. UFC fans, as you state, would buy in the hope/expectation of fireworks, but see their guy slowly humiliated until he either quits (via disqualification) or gets KOed - then wonder what they hell they just paid for.

Boxing fans wouldn't feel they did any better out of it either, neither would the casuals.

As for Canelo v Mayweather, DLH just hyperventilating at the cash he could make out of it. If Mayweather talk is back, wait for Khan to chime in......

Mayweather needs to stay retired so that boxing can move on.
