I can’t be bothered to sit around and wait another six months – I’ve got to get on with my career.

    Yeah that would be terrible.

Saunders has been a very annoying title holder. He's following the proud WBO middleweight tradition established by Qullin of being a cock. After Andy Lee briefly interrupted it.

To be honest the WBO lineage at 160 has been trash since Pirog held it. They stripped Sergio almost immediately and since then it's been N'Dam, Quillin, Lee, & Saunders. You couldn't any of them have really enhanced the lineage.

Lol. Oscar has put team GGG in a bind. If they fight Saunders, Canelo is off the table. If they don't fight then, Canelo still not a surety.

Lets see how this end by end of this week.

Smh.. this dude is worse than Khan.
He's been sitting around for how long? Now if ggg doesn't sign to fight him this week, then he's moving on. He's imposing this deadline praying that the fight doesn't get made. I don't even like ggg, but I want to see him destroy this bigmouth.

GGG should be fighting canelo next or go directly into a rematch with jacobs. Saunders is a bum and a joke paper champ. I don't care how many youtube videos he makes how many borat jokes he makes about GGG I just won't care about him. Saunders is just trying to sell his belt to the highest bidder. SMH

If Team Golovkin puts any trust in GBP, and ends up getting screwed over, they deserve it.

Time to fish or cut bait

If Golovkin really is about "dream of securing all of the belts", the choice is simple; fight Saunders in June to unify the belts, have the rematch with Jacobs come the fall, and then deal with the WBO mandatory defense (against the Langford/Khurtsidze winner) this December, with the Alvarez fight now being an option for a possible May 2018 date.

If he's not, he backs out of the Kazakhstan date (likely shows up for a sitdown interview, while a smaller fight card gets put on featuring Kazakh fighters), finally signs to fight Alvarez for a massive payday, and settles to fighting twice a year for however much longer he wants to even bother fighting (I doubt that he's all that excited in the possibility of fighting Jacobs again, or watching young bucks like Jermall Charlo, Derevyanchenko, Chris Eubank Jr, and others come on form).

GGG should fight Saunders and unify all the belts. Who was the last fighter with all 4 belts in a division at the same time? It's been a while I think. If Canelo runs again and uses this as an excuse, there's always next May. Canelo probably doesn't want to fight in September anyway.

Like K2 has consistently done, when it actually came time to laying out the money, K2 was found to have empty pockets.

Golovkin is not worried about Canelo. He will definitely fight Saunders (if Saunders has the balls). He will unify the division with that fight. Nothing will dissuade him from that goal. The rest is fluff including Canelo.
