Looked better this fight compared to the previous!
Anybody catch that Katie Taylor chick on Showtime this past weekend?

She's well known alright and would probably be able to draw a decent crowd in Dublin. There isn't much of a platform for women's boxing but it's possible that she could have a 'big' world title fight with a decent gate.
Hard to maintain interest given that even hardcore fans would struggle to name five active female boxers. But it has to start somewhere and when you look at the UFC you'd have to say it's achievable.Comment

I really enjoy her fights.
Will definitely be good when she steps up to world title level. That said I know nothing about women's boxing will there be a noticeable step up?
I found it a bit disheartening her last opponent fought for a world title in her fight previous. That fight was fun but it looked a bit like if Lomachenko found himself in the ring with an English Southern Area champion or something. The Bulgarian woman had enough skill and the durability to last 16 minutes but no more than that and even then Katie could have stopped her if she really wanted to.Comment

Shes impressive. I wonder how much money is on women's boxing these days. She might need to learn some BJJ and take down defense and go into MMA. Holly Holm is starting to struggle, but she learned enough to win a title and her boxing is not on the level of Taylor's.Comment

Dude Katie Taylor is the real deal, very good technique, she has more skill than a lot of male boxers, she delivers her punches well and has good movement and timing.
A very technical offensive fighter, she is similar to Lomachenko in she uses a lot of offensive arm punching combos and gets out of the way.
Clarissa Shields on the other hand lacks fundamentals and relies on her power and aggressive explosive spurts she kinda reminds me of Deontay wilder she loves throwing all her weight into a wide overhand right up the top and her defense mainly consists of throwing a power shot hopping straight back. But she was getting hit way too much, luckily she is a big girl because those heavier weight women fighters are garbage most of them don't have the technical skill of the lower weights like lucia rijker and Katie taylor, and braekus etc.Comment

135 pounds lightweight I think?
She is already 30 going on 31 though old for turning pro but she is in her prime she had a good 5 years before she will start slowing down physically. If she started sooner at 26 it would have been better but the Olympics didnt allow pros to box, so she stayed on for another olympics, if they allowed boxers to go pro she would have went pro years ago.Comment

Yea she looked good. The commentary was making me think I was going crazy though. "This is incredible" "The crowd is loving this/going crazy" "People really love these guaranteed decision fights". The f#ck. Get more truth from a used car salesman with a meth habit & a ******** debt to bad people in the sh^tty part of town.Comment

She is very much loved in Ireland, and sky and their promotional outfit are trying to carry her. Even if they are successful it would take a lot of more effort to push her through. In boxing charisma helps a lot and she kind of lack it, but she is a great lady boxer and I hope that would count in the end.Comment
that hand speed tho
