If Ward gives Kovalev a rematch Kovalev is going to have to do a lot more than he did in the first one. Talk is cheap. The judges will in all likelihood favor Ward again so Kovalev better get the knockout or stoppage. Unlikely that the judges will go to the "dark side" if Kovalev isn't convincing enough.

I guess Ward fans justify Andre's stall tactics as "mind games" but most fans see it as pretty lame and unnecessary from a guy who shows less and less class every day.
Maybe Ward fans think Andre's just trying to sell the fight. Face it, Ward's never gonna be a big PPV guy cause his style is made for radio. lol
Suppose Andre had lost his 168 lb title in a controversial decision to Froch in the UK. How do you think "Son of Judges" would react?
Come on Ward, retire or give the champ a rematch.

I hope Kovalev will introduce some shorter shots to his repertoire because if he goes looking for the KO with his straight right alone it's going to be a frustrating night for him and for us viewers

It's funny reading some of these posts. We had quite a few people dis*****g that Ward was walking Kovalev down at certain points in the fight. Which he did. I'm trying figure out if they didn't see this, what fight were they watching. Even the HBO crew saw this. It's one thing thing to dispute the outcome of a fight but to base your argument on figment of your imagination is ridiculous. This fight was closer to me than the Golovkin fight. Ward got the nod but it could have easily went to Kovalev.

He also talks about wanting to hurt people which is classless from a man who pretty much killed someone in the ring. I get his frustrations with Ward though. Andre knew there was a rematch clause when he signed the contract it's not like its a big surprise.

Emotions do not help boxers majority of time. Kovy better use self-control if he really wants to win

They'll need a track meet judge in the ring if he ever does agree to the fight. He'll probably even have a set of starting blocks in his corner to get a good start each round... and you can bet that ring will be HUGE if Ward gets his way. LOL
Boo-boos? Ward was the one who took the dog fight to kovalev, other than the knock down kovalev aint do s**t but hold the whole fight. Let kovalev come in "pizzed" it'll be his down fall.

Ward fans KNOW the rematch will happen, but are taking delight in the wailing of women and gnashing of teeth until then

it's all good, Kovalev will get his deserved rematch long before Danny Jacobs does, thats for sure
