If Ward gives Kovalev a rematch Kovalev is going to have to do a lot more than he did in the first one. Talk is cheap. The judges will in all likelihood favor Ward again so Kovalev better get the knockout or stoppage. Unlikely that the judges will go to the "dark side" if Kovalev isn't convincing enough.

I guess Ward fans justify Andre's stall tactics as "mind games" but most fans see it as pretty lame and unnecessary from a guy who shows less and less class every day.

this idiot knocked Ward down then got taken to school. he got walked down and exposed. the only thing he has is power and Ward took that away with body shots. easier work in the rematch.

It's funny reading some of these posts. We had quite a few people dis*****g that Ward was walking Kovalev down at certain points in the fight. Which he did. I'm trying figure out if they didn't see this, what fight were they watching. Even the HBO crew saw this. It's one thing thing to dispute the outcome of a fight but to base your argument on figment of your imagination is ridiculous. This fight was closer to me than the Golovkin fight. Ward got the nod but it could have easily went to Kovalev.

explain.. Ward is a humble guy, family man that dares to be great challenging himself. how is that a terrible example. Kovalev calls other fighters "chicken, piece of ****, f*ggot, mother****er, etc" he is classless, ignorant, bad mouths his own trainer and has made racist comments in the past. but hes not a terrible example huh.

He also talks about wanting to hurt people which is classless from a man who pretty much killed someone in the ring. I get his frustrations with Ward though. Andre knew there was a rematch clause when he signed the contract it's not like its a big surprise.

Looks like any respect Kovalev had for Ward before their first fight is gone. Good. Hopefully this results in a more entertaining promotion this time around. Plus if Kovalev comes out possessed, we'll be in for another good fight.

Hoping against hope for this one to happen. Ward luvs to stall so those boo-boos can finally heal up from the first fight. Kov is pizzed now, and Ward knows it. They'll need a track meet judge in the ring if he ever does agree to the fight. He'll probably even have a set of starting blocks in his corner to get a good start each round... and you can bet that ring will be HUGE if Ward gets his way. LOL
