Since I was at MSG live, I never really sat down and scored the fight until yesterday watching it live on hbo. So below is my scoring. If you are a golovkin hater, you will give every swing round to jacobs. So being as nice as possible to jacobs and giving him every swing round imaginable he still loses the fight 114-113. GGG controlled ring pace, cut the ring off, had jacobs on his back, was landing jab after jab, the cleaner shots as well, did more damage. Jacobs was in there to survive. How people have jacobs winning the 1st round still amazes me. Throughout the fight, most of his shots landed on ggg's gloves. Golovkin's face says it all. GGG's jab won him this fight.

I had it 115-112 for GGG, but I agree. He controlled the fight. He didn't fight his typical more aggressive style and I don't think he really sought the KO. he boxed him and did a better job. It was close, with some swing rounds, but overall, GGG handled him.
