    My scoring for GGG-Jacobs fight

Since I was at MSG live, I never really sat down and scored the fight until yesterday watching it live on hbo. So below is my scoring. If you are a golovkin hater, you will give every swing round to jacobs. So being as nice as possible to jacobs and giving him every swing round imaginable he still loses the fight 114-113. GGG controlled ring pace, cut the ring off, had jacobs on his back, was landing jab after jab, the cleaner shots as well, did more damage. Jacobs was in there to survive. How people have jacobs winning the 1st round still amazes me. Throughout the fight, most of his shots landed on ggg's gloves. Golovkin's face says it all. GGG's jab won him this fight.

    GGG-Jacobs
    1. 10 9
    2. 9 10
    3. 10 9
    4. 10 8
    5. 10 9
    6. 9 10
    7. 9 10-Toss up round
    8. 9 10-Toss up round
    9. 10 9
    10. 9 10
    11. 9 10-toss up round
    12. 10 9

      Same as mine

After the 5th, it really became a question of whether Jacobs could catch GGG

He didnt and that was all she wrote

I was at MSG for the fight too and got the same score.

I knew it was close and when I saw that some were calling it a robbery I knew I had to rewatch and rescore so earlier in the week I found the fight online and got the same score.

Then last night I saw the HBO broadcast for the first time and scored one point for GGG a third time.

Close fight, but as a GGG fan I don't feel like he was gifted anything and that I should feel like he is lucky to still be undefeated.

        The knockdown made the difference

Watched it 4 times, had GGG winning each time. Tough, close, competitive fight.

Interesting. To me 3 and 12 were the key rounds. Whoever you score those rounds to wins the fight.

It was a very close fight. I thought GGG won it by a point or two with the knock down and his accurate, hard jab. I could understand somebody calling it a draw or giving the fight to Jacobs by a point. Jacobs surprised most of us with how smart he fought and how well he took punches. Some say GGG was overrated because he struggled with Jacobs. Jacobs crushed Quillen and Mora like nobody else ever did. He may be a much better fighter than anybody knew. Let's see how Jacobs does with a guy like Lara, Eubank or Jermall before judging GGG too harshly.
