Khan is a poor man's Linares. Seriously, Amir is so overrated

What good is speed if you're predictable? Garcia said it best, "At first all I saw was a blur, but then it got easier to time him". The whole burst of flurries with the vocal "ush ush ush" looks fast and dazzling and British commentators will always say something like, "Again Khan shows his speed...", but in slow motion it's amateurish and leaves so many gaps for counters, watch how long his arms are extended while he lands his slaps with his chin begging to be hit. He doesn't even have basic footwork.Comment

Lol if Amir was fighting A.Carollo he would have stopped him l. khan is much better then Linares look who Khans has fought. I do admit however Linares has better ring IQ when it comes to later rounds.Just doing a comparison of the two and you realise how ridiculous the hyperbole around Khan always has been.
There is a comparison to be made - both tall fighters with blazing handspeed and combination punchers, and with shaky chins.
But then you look at Linares - the awesome balance, boxing instincts, the variety of his combinations, the gliding footwork, the hurtful snap on his punches. Even his IQ and defence are getting better as he gets older.
And then look at Khan - as I've always said, fast hands but slow defence. Lunging in, reaching in. Predictable attack. Over-egged combinations. Little boxing IQ and ability to adjust or change his tempo.Comment

Linares has terrific footwork, Khan's is lousy.
Linares has solid defence, Khan's is lousy.
Linares has great punch delivery, Khan over-extends.
Then there's the general skill level. Khan is nothing but speedy arm punches, Linares is a highly skilled, razor sharp boxer.Comment
