using PPV numbers to not make the fight is punk ****.

I guarantee that if GGG fights Zurdo at 168 on PPV his PPV numbers will skyrocket.

Floyd and Pacquiao didn't do **** on PPV until they faced a big Mexican star (Oscar).

that's the curse of being non-Hispanic boxer in the U.S.

this is why GGG wears Mexican sombreros, eats at Mexican restaurants and calls his style Mexican style.. all that to appeal to that market.

if Canelo was from Kazakhstan he wouldn't be doing **** on PPV.

any fan that supports this fight being stalled further over PPV numbers is not a fan of boxing but a groupie.
    This right here

Everyone can forget any September PPV. As I am sure that market will be dominated by some guy named mayweather and some whistballs named McGregor in what will be a mismatch.

If Canelo is such a big star why did he only do 300,000 against Liam Smith?

If Canelo is the standard and he's doing 300K then Golovkin doing 150-170K seems about right. Especially considering that Pacquiao is only doing like 300K as well.

Those numbers suggest that Golovkin is one of the big stars in boxing.

Good point. There are very few actual "superstars" in boxing these days. It's tough to see Canelo carrying the sport the way SRL, Tyson or De La Hoya did, in terms of sheer popularity and global appeal. While I agree that GGG is not a household name or a superstar, I also think Canelo fans overestimate his popularity outside of California, Nevada and Texas. When he does big numbers, he usually has a dance partner with a solid fan base. He may be the biggest name actively fighting but that shouldn't be confused with Floyd.

People keep talking as if Canelo doesn't have options. I can name one right now: Jermall Charlo! Canelo vs. Charlo would sell out Minute Maid Park in Houston in a week and still net 500K PPVs. Canelo vs. Demetrius Andrade in NYC! Canelo vs. Jacobs in Brooklyn! Chavez Jr. accepted a catch weight, you think "Zurdo" Ramirez would turn it down? Last but not least, Lemieux's stock just rose after decapitating Curtis Stevens! There's plenty of fighters waiting in line for that Canelo money!

                hold on !!

the fight is not "being stalled further over PPV numbers"

the fight is being stalled over money

                Golovkin is pricing himself out

                the figures PROVE that

the fight is being stalled because Golovkin is pricing himself out, as his PPV figures PROVE

why doesn't Golovkin forget that his figures do not compare favorably to Canelo..... just pick up that HUGE chq..... and fight?

How many of those will GBP let him fight?

Maybe Andrade as he looked average in his last fight

                  Charlo - no way

                  Zurdo is a big SMW

Lemieux has already refused a CW

They'll find someone but likely to be another disappointment

Yes but it's not like he is doing millions of views. Does 300k mean that he is such a massive star that all must bow before him the way they did Floyd? At least Floyd did around 750k to 1 mil more than his opponents so he deservedly got to call all the shots. It doesn't appear as though Canelo has that kind of pull as yet.
