Golovkin, now p4p 1, and lineal champion.

If you read these forums you know already that whether you're a fanboy a hater or somewhere in between, Golovkin is consensus p4p number 1 on ESPN.

On top of that, by most reasonable arguments, he is now the lineal champ. After Canelo won it from Cotto, he moved out of the division to fight for a belt at another weight. He is now fighting a second time outside of the middle weight division. Most boxing pundits will tell you that ends the lineal line.

So how is the new line reestablished? By the number 1 in a division fighting the number 2. Oh wait, that just happened.

At the end of the day we're all hoping that Canelo Golovkin gets made so that there is no dispute.

        Show me these pundits.

All those 100s/1000s of articles written since the Golovkin v Jacobs fight and not 1 called him lineal, you know why? Because Canelo is the lineal champ.

Standard procedure is to have the lineal champion stripped as soon as he moves to another division. Canela did exactly that. He moved to the 154 lb division from the 155 lb division. Next ne moves to the 164 lb division. All this because he is not ready for the 160 lb division (according to herself).

Just making up your own rules are you?

The only time that happens is if the fighter indicates he's not returning.

No. Check Zsolt Erdei as a recent example noob.

You can't just proclaim somebody the Lineal champion. It is not a popularity contest or a subjective thing. A lot of you turds need to familiarise yourselves with the lineages of these titles.
