Chavez just might pull it off. i can see him coming in great shape but still fighting a technically sound fight while weighing more then canelo. Canelo has never fought someone who will be significantly taller and weigh a decent amount more fight night.

I'm rooting for this, but even Chavez Jr at his best got schooled by an older Sergio Martinez outside of his 12th round moment in that fight. If he could make any part of this bout as exciting as that 12th round this might be a fun bout with some competiveness to it.

Canelo's lack of foot speed could lead to problems against a much larger guy. This isn't going to be an easy night for Canelo. Chavez is going be hard to hurt and right in his face all night. Canelo is better than Chavez in almost every way but there are weight classes for a reason.

It seems to me like Chavez is the exact opposite of Khan with regards to skillsets and intangibles.

Canelo' handlers would never allow him in a fight unless they were sure the other fighter was handicapped in some way. Either way past their prime or like in Chavez's case totally weight depleted and weakened. All that matters to them is chavez's name so they can convince his loyal minion what an awesome fighter he is.
