Technically sound and Chavez Jr. in the same sentence??

I'm rooting for this, but even Chavez Jr at his best got schooled by an older Sergio Martinez outside of his 12th round moment in that fight. If he could make any part of this bout as exciting as that 12th round this might be a fun bout with some competiveness to it.

Canela******* would be hilarious I'd admit.

Curious how heavy Canelo will be looking to come in doe. He's been 155 max & this is 9.5lbs higher than he's fought before.

Definitely seems like there is potential for this to be a cherry pick gone wrong, but then I think about what has Chavez Jr ever really done & I just can't see it going down. Would be a pretty insane upset if it went down & Oscar is for sure getting a DUI &/or falling off the coke wagon before Monday morning.

Personally, I'd rather see Jr beat the dog s.h.i.t out of this french lookin red-headed diva (no rematch), then Jr fight GGG or Ramirez next!

Canelo's lack of foot speed could lead to problems against a much larger guy. This isn't going to be an easy night for Canelo. Chavez is going be hard to hurt and right in his face all night. Canelo is better than Chavez in almost every way but there are weight classes for a reason.

It seems to me like Chavez is the exact opposite of Khan with regards to skillsets and intangibles.

Junior hasn't looked like Junior since Andy Lee. I'll just wait and see this improved version they're talking about.

He's also been spotted with Old Kai. We'll finally see a version of Chavez at his full potential. Canelo is done for.

Canelo' handlers would never allow him in a fight unless they were sure the other fighter was handicapped in some way. Either way past their prime or like in Chavez's case totally weight depleted and weakened. All that matters to them is chavez's name so they can convince his loyal minion what an awesome fighter he is. Canelo' leg s should be strong from all that running he's done staying away from Golovkin
