That's true. But having so many websites doing their own divisional rankings allow us to have a consensus top 10. Out of all the rankings, you will inevitably find the same five or six names. These fighters deserve to be in the top 10, the rest is debatable. There are no 'official' bodies in this sport unfortunately, these people just make up rules as they go along, whenever it suits them. I think it's best to judge fighters based on how good they actually are and who they've beaten, rather than where they're ranked, because that's all politics.
Beltran was considered the second best lightweight by default, because Vasquez had just been robbed, Abril was inactive and the division was weak at that time. Even for someone as talented as Crawford, dominating Burns - in Glasgow - Gamboa, Beltran and Postol is nothing to sneeze at.
Before beating Jacobs, Golovkin had been getting a tremendous amount of hype for tearing through roughly the same level of opposition after all.Comment

The Greatest Moment in Sports History Pertaining to Racism. A white boy hilariously knocked Bernard Hopkins out of the ring and into retirement. The racist got knocked out in stellar fashion like he deserved. My sides hurt the next morning from laughing so hard at this crazy karma happening live.Comment

Probably last real old school fighter going out like that. Broke my heart.
Always liked and had huge respect for the man, he literally fought everybody.Comment
