Saunders is a very good boxer when he's on form. He has a good ring IQ too, good chin and not easy to catch clean.
The problem is that i don't think he has the power to get GGG's respect. Jacobs has power so even when GGG was frustrated he was reluctant to just try and walk through him. We have seen if you can't gain Golovkin's respect, he will just pressure you and break you down and that's what i think will happen.
Saunders has also shown he can tire, which is bad news when fighting GGG i think. He also didn't deal that well in the fights where the fighters applied a lot of pressure i.e the second half of the Eubank fight.Comment

Unless you are James Toney or Roberto Duran, you can't balloon up in weight and pretend you will be the same talent you used to be (and even Toney and Duran paid in the ring for their excesses out of it).
If he fights Golovkin in Jun 2017, he will have been effectively inactive since his Dec 2015 win over Lee. If you want to call that effort against Akavov activity, go ahead, but at least it was a reason to get down from 210 lbs to 160 again I guess, so some benefit.
However good he used to be, he's declined a lot now. I doubt he would beat Lee or Eubank if they fought again, and Jacobs and Lemieux would both swat him out the way with ease. Golovkin ?
Well said. BJS had best be dropping the weight slow and steady to be fresh for 3G. Shame how a new titlist in a huge market in Europe (BJS) was so inactive after the Lee win. I just want to see good fights! I hope Sanders does have the best camp of his career.
To answer your Golovkin question..
If BJS is flat, think Julian Jackson vs Herol Graham... If you haven't seen It, YouTube It! Worth your time and a good comparison.Comment
