Jacobs didn't expose GGG but Willie Monroe Jr did.

But I never see you in my other threads about GGG where I'm not criticizing him. Only when I criticize him do you come running like a knight in shining armour to defend his honorComment

LOL, I love how GGG is "exposed" by dudes who get KOd in 5 or 6 rounds.
The OP's reasoning makes ZERO sense. Monroe exposed GGG? because once he stood up to GGG in the 4th round .... he got KOd w/in the next 2 rounds?
No, actually, the Jacobs fight was the one where GGG was maybe a bit "exposed" and where maybe Canelo should try to emulate even if he lacks the length.
You don't want to get in a toe to toe war with GGG, that's just dumb. But if you can move and force GGG to make the fight -- and maybe make mistakes, and counter sharply whenever you get the chance, you can have some success. I gave Jacobs 6 rounds, even though he mostly just let GGG initiate the action and countered.
Canelo lacks Jacobs length & size, and probably his power too, so GGG may not respect Canelo as much as he did Jacobs. But Canelo is a better boxer than Jacobs.
He should try to move and counter if he wants to win against GGG.
If youre advising Canelo to go to war with GGG.... lol well, it would make for a funner fight.Comment

these GGGee threads are becoming worse n worse im starting to think his fans create some of these threads so that they can complain everyone hates himComment

There is no "probably" about it. Jacobs has legit power at 160. What or when has canela shown that? Knocking out Kirkland, Josesito, Angulo, or a crypt version of Baldomir? If the fight goes to the cards canela will have two judges in the bag but if this fight ever happens before GGG turns 60 he ko's him.LOL, I love how GGG is "exposed" by dudes who get KOd in 5 or 6 rounds.

Depends on what you mean by 'Exposed'.
If you mean, dented the 'aura' of invincibility, then yeah, sure. The Monroe Jr. fight was the point I looked at and said, yeah GGG is a beast, but he can be beat. In the middle rounds (4th I think) Golovkin started to tire, and get lit up a bit by Monroe, who as you note has no real power. To be fair though, I think that had to do a lot with GGG gassing a bit there, and I do see him trying to conserve energy in a potential Canelo fight much like he did against Jacobs.
I see Canelo having a good shot against Golvkin, which is also why I'm more frustrated by Oscar and GBs posturing regarding the fight. If GGG can keep him on the end of his Jab then I think he takes it. If not things will get very interesting as Canelo has very good combination punching and both have underrated defense. He does however have a tendency to shell up at times against the ropes, something I don't think he will be able to get away with fighting GGG.Comment

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. One problem. Canelo is not an inside fighter. Where was the inside game against lara or floyd? against trout? GGG's jab is better and more powerful and accurate than all the 3. GGG also throws his jab in volume not every minute like a lara. Canelo is also a mid range fighter and he can't fight well if someone has a good jab. GGG's jab will be in canelo's face all day. The jab that was landing on the taller jacbos will land easier on canelo. Canelo is 5 inches shorter than jacobs with 4 inches less reach. He is not using inside game against cotto in the vid you posted. He is fighting mid range. And You using a 5 7 cotto to prove your point is weak. He wasn't even buckling cotto with those shots. How is he gonna hurt ggg? Only way canelo wins is robbery on the scorecards.Movement isn't going to beat GGG. He'll stalk you and set traps. Jacobs had success in the latter rounds because he was in great shape. GGG likes to stalk his opponents. Roy Jones Jr saw the problem with Monroe in the 3rd round
"Moving is not working for you. Stop moving and fight"
Monroe Jr stopped moving and started fighting in the 4th and 5th rounds and that's where he had his most success.
But Monroe didn't have the power, ring IQ, defense or strength to stand toe to to and sustain inside fighting. But we all know who does.....
Do I think Canelo beats GGG? ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELYLast edited by satiev1; 03-24-2017, 01:56 PM.Comment
