Jacobs didn't expose GGG but Willie Monroe Jr did.

Movement isn't going to beat GGG. He'll stalk you and set traps. Jacobs had success in the latter rounds because he was in great shape. GGG likes to stalk his opponents. Roy Jones Jr saw the problem with Monroe in the 3rd round

"Moving is not working for you. Stop moving and fight"

Monroe Jr stopped moving and started fighting in the 4th and 5th rounds and that's where he had his most success.

But Monroe didn't have the power, ring IQ, defense or strength to stand toe to to and sustain inside fighting. But we all know who does.....

Do I think Canelo beats GGG? ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY

Monroe is pretty underated. I think he outboxes lemiuex, saunders and bumnelo.
Too fast, too sharp, good stamina and great footwork

He's a poor mans Lara. That's why they picked Monroe over Lara. When Lara was a teen perfeting his craft, Monroe Jr was in a boy band and working at footlocker

Good point about the Cotto fight. Canelo CAN move his feet when he wants to. He still got caught plenty of times but it's Cotto we're talking about so it's not like it was some complete can. I think a LOT of that fight comes down to the decisions Canelo makes.
Can he beat Golovkin? Yes indeed.
Will he resist his tendency to plant his feet and periodically play defense? Hmmm.....

Thread starter has a sig with Golovkin wanting more WWs. Some of the best MWs in history picked on smaller guys.

Look at Hopkins vs Tito. Anyone can easily see the size difference between a true middleweight and someone that got that high up because he was great.

Hagler is an easy one too. People love to talk shit about Triple G, then turn around and praise guys like Hagler. Duran was Hagler's best win in over 50+ fights. The same Duran that is considered one or the best lightweights of all time. Lightweight(135) is not the same as a middleweight(160). What's even more embarrassing is that by Hagler's 45th fight, he fought a guy with 38 losses. Checked boxrec and look at this shit...........................

Hagler had eight more fights when he faced Willie Warren compared to what Golovkin has now. GGG is the bum and Hagler the great great legend though.

GGG had crazy amount of respect for Jacobs power and handspeed(no respect for Monroe). imo Danny would've stopped him had he stood his ground and threw combos in the pocket. GGG just shells up, no counters at all, Jacobs did all the work inside.

bad advice from the trainer cost Danny the victory. telling him to "finesse" when he could've dominated GGG at close range.

they admitted to coming in heavier as a tactic but makes no sense if the plan was to "finesse" and pot shot.

I still had Danny winning but had he stood his ground it would've been more convincing.

Canelo is known to rehydrate into a tank. he doesn't have the height or reach of DJ but that's irrelevant since it was inside Danny had more success.

Canelo is superior to DJ in these categories: reflexes, handspeed, counterpunching, defense & combinations.

GGG is gonna eat a lot of leather vs Canelo.
