Im from Argentina and sadly, nope. I dont see any decent fighter coming up. Its really a sport that almost has no fan base here. That`s why its so difficult to promote the sport and make young guys to start training. Martinez only got known and famous before his fight against Chavez Jr but only because he was in dancing with the stars back then and nobody knew him. Maidana became popular because he was going to fight Floyd so that`s basically how it works here. Really sad.

martinez brought boxing back to the spotlight with his KO over paul williams in their rematch. that interest in martinez that expanded to boxing in general was what benefited chino and lucas. it wasn't just because he was fighting floyd that marcos became popular, i mean, baldomir also fought floyd and nobody gave to shits about it back in the day.

also we have brian castaņo and fabian maidana who are very talented fighters. with contursi by their side they have all the chances to go far in boxing.
