I rated him a B/B+ boxer in the thread asking what level he was. After Saturday, I have him as a solid B+.

Jacobs is better than Taylor, Pavlik, and Martinez, in my opinion.

I should have rated GGG a A- because a B rating from me is a high mark! I don't rate fighters using their common opponents or any opponents without first evaluating the talent they've shown over at least 6 years as a pro.
There are C+ guys I like and are tough opponents too.
Everyone needs to consider the "current era" and the over all history of the sport. Mayweather was the best of this era in the history of the sport I don't rate him high as a welter at all. He only had 13 bouts!

He didn't fight a draw with GGG, he got out point and he was hurt twice in the bout. He moved away 75% of the bout and sorry thats not winning. A lot of young fans think thats the way to win against the champ but it isn't!
This "fighting off the back foot" is BS when it comes to "taking the title"! Jacobs isn't Mayweather or Benitez and he only engaged with GGG when GGG let off the gas.
I rated Danny second in the world that IS high praise but think he fought a draw he did NOT!

I definetly rate him higher after Saturday than I did before. I never thought he was a bum but I thought he was a clear step below GGG and Canelo in the division but now I see he's right there with them at the top. He showed how versatile his game is and came up just short on my card but I would love to see it again. I think if he fought the same way against Canelo he would win, but if he could replicate that great performance again would be the question. I hope Danny gets to fight both guys in at least the next 2 years.
