Will Golovkin get the same criticism as Ward if he doesn't rematch Jacobs ASAP?

Ward fans want the rematch, many Golovkin fans are seemingly terrified of a rematch and coming up with every excuse in the book.

I don't see how you can act like whether or not there is a rematch clause isn't a factor in this discussion as far as immediate rematches are concerned.

Ward did have that clause and should honor the contract. Golovkin didn't and doesn't have as much obligation technically.

That being said I would love to see it again. If I had my way he'd get the Saunders fight in June, Canelo in September, then a Jacobs rematch as the next fight after that.

Obviously I don't think the rematch has to be immediate but if Team GGG can't lock down a legitimate other opponent they should push for the rematch next.

Really hope we get both fights again and I think we will within at least the next 2 years.

You're all whining about a one armed fighter, when NO ONE has their story straight...1 person says Manny had surgery, Manny said he was healed in the salt water and, while I'm a firm believer in God and, at times, miraculous healing, Arum said there was surgery, Manny claimed not.

You really believe the floyd vs manny fight was THAT close that it warranted a rematch?

They literally have to believe that or else it means Manny was never good enough to beat Floyd.

Well, he never was...the general consensus has been floyd would win a wide UD since the fight was ever brought up.

Ward did not drop Kovalev and won a close decision like GGG did.

Ward got dropped and lost a controversial decision

              Different situations

Here's what i find hilarious: I rooted for Jacobs and Kovalev. I think Kovalev won but Jacobs lost a close one. Meanwhile people that rooted for Ward/Jacobs or GGG/Kovalev have to twist themselves in a knot.

Ggg won like Floyd does with jab. But ggg jabs snaped head. Floyd just touches you. Plus ggg was more busy with jab. Floyd just pot shots why is it OK for Floyd to win fight after fight like that but not for ggg?

Ggg fans don't mind giving rematch one day but not on basis it was controversial, rather it was exciting fight and we'd be up for seeing a repeat one day. Operative word being oneday

I scored that fight for ward but I think it was very close and warrants an immediate rematch

A rematch doesn't just happen when its close. Rematches can happen if the fight was great entertainment and see the best in the game lock horns and go at it again. But with Floyd he just makes fight boiring so nobody wants to see it again. So you sometimes wonder why he's money when he don't want to entertain.
PAC destroyed Barrera but gave rematch didn't he?
So Floyd and his fans is the on ly one who ever uses excuses to not give rematch. Sure Floyd gave rematches when he knows he lost, rather than it was close
