I mean, everyone said Jacobs could do everything, it was just that he didn't have a chin and that's why he would lose. Well, his chin held up didn't it? So GGG fought a guy who could do everything but take a punch, except he could also take a punch... lol... so GGG fought a guy who could do everything. Full stop. And GGG beat him. A much bigger guy who could do everything.

But that's what I want before GGG gets even older. He was robbed of so many legacy fights during his prime because guys were afraid of him, so now I want to make up for lost time, and just do one legacy fight after another. Anyone people say can beat GGG, I want to see GGG fight. Jacobs rematch, Floyd, Charlo, Lubin, Lara, Spence, Ward at 168.

GGG should get the last belt from Saunders in June, and then starting September with Canelo, I want to see legacy fight after legacy fight every 3 months if he takes no damage, or every 4-6 months depending on damage taken in the previous fight. And with that strategy, he can get in 8 to 10 legacy fights by the time he is 38, by which point he may be well past his prime.

But that's what I want to see. Best vs best.
How?? he is 40 and has been retired for almost 2 years and is very small

GGG has another belt to win. Why give Jacobs a rematch now? It wasnt a robbery, he clearly won. On to the next one
I don't drink or smoke, so that wasn't the problem. I watched a close, competitive fight that could have gone either way. Either side winning by a couple points was an OK result for me.

Either way, it wasn't a conclusive result. I saw GGG at times keep Jacobs at bay with his jab. I saw Jacobs landing power shots and for the most part keeping GGG off balanced all night with lateral movement, switching hitting, and quick hand and footspeed.

You can say it a million times and it doesn't change the fact that GGG didn't clearly do a damn thing. As for GGG "having another belt to win." Nobody outside of his delusional, fanatical d1ckriders, which you clearly are, gives a **** ass cheek about about GGG beating a C level bum for a paper trinket. Fighters fight real fights. Jacobs is a real fight......b1tch as n.igga.

Rematch Danny when the Jacobs is ready to fight again i.e. mid 2018

GGG wants to fight in June & September so that rules an immediate rematch with Danny out

Good. So long as people have reasonable conversations here. I watched that fight with two other people. We all had different opinions on the outcome but we all knew it was extremely close.

If not canelo, then I'd like to see a rematch. Funny tho...jacobs doesn't seem overly keen on it, and he seems happy with a close loss too. Not the type of attitude you'd expect from a guy who really feels he won.

Jacobs helped himself big time. The obvious next fight is Lemiuex, he wins there and he really positions himself well.

Before the Jacobs fight we already knew exactly what Golovkin had planned Canelo and the last title with Saunders. So that was the plan assuming Golovkin beat Jacobs. The fight ended up pretty close and Jacobs did better than a lot of people anticipated, so that adds a new twist. Again, I can't blame Golovkin for wanting to accomplish his goal, I just can't since a) we've known about and b) they are good goals to have (imo, unifying all the belts, the only man to do so since Hopkins is dope and a fight with Canelo is a fight the entire sport wants and will benefit from).

I guess it boils down to how long Golovkin had left and if he gets the Canelo fight. I could totally see a scenario where he fights Jacobs after Saunders if Canelo can't fight him this year for whatever reasons or I could see an immediate rematch if Saunders *****es out again. What I would worry about however is if Golovkin fights and beats both Saunders and Canelo this year. Would Golovkin retire? Would he make a bigger money fight after Canelo like he said? I think that would also depend on what Jacobs does in the meantime too.

Good point, I think that would largely depend on how the PPV did. If it flopped, I don't know. If it did better than expectations, I see no reason why they couldn't do another PPV.

The talk is Saunders in Kazakhstan. Do you know what's kind of money they are looking at? Is that something HBO would pay for or are there other sources of income? UK PPV (I wouldn't imagine so since Saunders isnt a big name in the UK). I wonder what kind of money they are looking at for that fight and if that same amount would be enough to fund a Jacobs rematch. Honest questions.

What would you prefer Golovkin do? Forget the final belt and Saunders and fight Jacobs and Canelo? To me it sounds like the Saunders/Kazakhstan fight is something they've been working on for a while. Seems like the wheels have been in motion weeks if not months before the Jacobs fight and if thats true, there could be a number of business en****** involved in a fight in Kazakhstan, which may be something K2 is unwilling to lose out on. I don't know how much that had to do with Saunders, again not sure of they are talking about UK PPV or Sky Sports broadcast deal or whatever else, but I would much prefer Jacobs vs Golovkin in Kazakhstan (like you said though, would the money be right? Would Jacobs team be cool with fighting in Kazakhstan? Would those potential business opportunities be the same, I really have no idea).

Best thing for Jacobs to do though is use this momentum for his own career. Like he said, an immediate rematch may be out of his control, so what I would like to see is get him back in the ring ASAP and definitely avoid sitting on the sidelines for a year and letting people forget about him, which we've seen happen to so many guys before. He earned the respect of boxing fans so even if this door is closed temporarily that doesn't mean others aren't opening up. I would hate to be his manager though, it's a tricky spot - immediately fight other top opponents to keep his buzz going but risk losing which would definitely kill a Golovkin rematch or fight lessor skilled guys trying to get highlight reel KOs but fight one to many soft opponents and people may lose a little respect he earned by fighting "bums". Boxing fans are a fickle bunch, aren't we?
I don't fault Golovkin for chasing the Saunders fight in Kazakhstan. I really dunno what type of money they're looking at for that fight but sometimes those type of fights also have income coming from other sources and not just the network.

I really doubt they would fight Jacobs AGAIN before Canelo. We saw what happened in the first fight and losing to Jacobs would completely destroy that fight vs Canelo. And I really doubt Jacobs would wanna fight in Kazakhstan given what happened this weekend.

I feel like his best route is Saunders - Canelo - Jacobs. But who knows how he will be looking by the time he gets to Jacobs? If he seems done by that time I think the only reason he would take that fight is if the money is right (like I said before).

And yea, boxing fans are an interesting bunch.

IMO the only fight that takes priority over Jacobs is Canelo. If GGG fights in June, and Danny makes himself unavailable, that's not Gennady's fault. If Canelo fights him in Sept, which I have serious doubts that he will, obviously that trumps a Danny rematch. But like I've said, the only fight that trumps Danny is Canelo. A lot of things can happen that alter the way I'm feeling right now. Chief among them is Saunders beating someone legit in the next couple months. But right now, Danny trumps as well.
