Ward fighting at 168, weighed 176 against Dawson.

Golovkin fought against a super mw on saturday.

Will this sport ever do something about weight cheaters?

I think all organizations should adopt the next morning weigh in, like in the IBF.
Once all of them are using it, it will be easier to move it into the afternoon or just before the fight. Cheaters will think twice before cutting 20 pounds to make weight. They would have to fight half drained, weakened, or fight on the division they belong.
Weight was an issue when lil g got WHOOPED and OUTBOXED by Danny Jacobs (who weighed in at 159.8...just 0.2lbs more than lil g's 159.6). Next day weighin lil g was 170lbs...6 lbs less than Jacobs 176. Somehow that 6 lbs is UNDENIABLY UNFAIR. FAKE NEWS.

But weight wasn't an issue when lil g dragged a WELTERWEIGHT up 13 pounds. No. That's not an issue.

6lbs (AFTER the official weigh-in) = MAJOR PROBLEM
TWO WEIGHT CLASSES = No big deal

    Thanks trashcan fan

It wasnt the weight that made GGG look bad, it was the hand speed plain and simple. Brook was able to get off first at times too. At first I just thought Brook was faster because hes a high level WW BUT GGG looked every bit his age. That was the main difference.

Golovkin weighed over 170, you going to cry over 6lbs? 6lbs disadvantage for ATG's is nothing, but we know Golovkin isn't an ATG.

But they would be okay with Golovkin fighting Froch and Chavez Jr who are both bigger than Jacobs lol.

A WW that outweighed him on the ring.

Its funny that a lot of GGG fans who said that floyd (a 147 pounder, who weighs 150/151 the night of the fight) is afraid of fighting Golovkin who is 170/172 on the fight night, are now complaining of Jacobs weight.

Some people seem really gutted about Golovkin's performance. I've seen nothing positive said about anything he did...

Golovkin didn't destroy Jacobs as expected, but he certainly beat him up. Jacobs had bumps and bruises all over his face, while Golovkin looked relatively unscathed. Danny put up a good fight: he had the will, skill & weight to do so, but he still lost.
