GGG vs. Jacobs a flop at the gate!

Only 19.000 people showed up according to several media sources. I think we all agree that's a big disappointment, since, as we all know, only a sellout counts. The live gate of approx. 6 million USD is lame as well. We've seen better in the past. At the end of the day, we all agree GGG is no draw!

it was 19,939 so about 20k.

Was the gate really 6M? I didn't see that anywhere. If so, that is very impressive.

K2 kept all of the prices the same even after some of the 300 and 400 dollar seats weren't selling as much as the ringside and the 100 dollar seats. That probably prevented a sellout but the place was rocking and the crowd was immense.

I don't know what your sources are, but I think the arena was almost 85-90% full until Cuadras fight & almost 95% full for Chocolatito & GGG fight.. So the numbers seems about right approximately..

Joe Louis vs Max Schmeling sold-out Yankee Stadium in New York City. Among the more than 70,000 fans in attendance were Clark Gable...

I guess Arum thought Borough Park was going to sell out Yankee stadium along with the Puerto Rican crowd...

the result was so bad, Top Rank dumped Yuri Foreman who was LITERALLY intended to be a One-Hit wonder hype job

Those were the ones I could see vacant until Cuadras fight, but I did see it go almost 80-90% full on those sections for Chocolatito & GGG..
They never announced the attendance in the arena, where did you get to know about the attendance?

Yow dude, come one, you know that is a result of the Germany vs America, or the **** vs Freedom of the 30s. Literally they demonized a german hero in Schmeling for the sake of the fight giving financial rapple.

Dan Rafael tweeted the attendance. I don't think any info on the gate $ has been released though.
