I believe beating both while at 154 would've done a lot more for him. Not his pockets, but respect. Andrade, Lara, and charlo are the types of fighters that Golovkin has avoided his entire career. Alvarez already beat 1. Had canelo stayed at 154 fought and beaten all top guys there, all golovkin fans would be crying for him to move up. Doubters of golovkin want to see him move up and the excuses flow like an elephant with diarrhea, hypocrisy at its best.

Wait...you want canelo to stay at 154 and clean out the division, but criticize ggg for doing the same. Hypocrisy you say? I like charlo and andrade as much as the next guy...they could be the future, but it doesn't change the fact that neither are proven yet. If they're good opponents for canelo, then jacobs was a great opponent for ggg.

That's not what I said...I said for legacy imo beating those 2 is better than beating golovkin...Alvarez can't get to 154 anymore, but had he vacated the belts, stayed at 154 and fought the best there, he would've been crucified, golovkin stays in a weak azz division, gets taken to the limit by B level Danny. 154 has more talent. My point is if Alvarez would've said "ok, well I'm staying here and going to unify my division too" buttlovekin fans would scream and b1tch. Giftlovekin gets a pass though staying in a much weaker division. Also, let's not pretend that Danny was proven in the least.

You can't talk up charlo and andrade as opponents for canelo, while ****ting on jacobs as an opponent for ggg. You're basing everything on your opinion that those guys are the goods, which could turn out to be true, but right now you're just assigning value based on your personal preference. You clearly think Alvarez should fight the best had he stayed at 154...but don't want him to do the same at 160?

You're getting my words twisted. Bottom line, my point is this:

Had canelo dropped the belts after the win over Cotto, stayed at 154 and beaten the top guys there, THAT is better than what golovkin has done at 160. Even if charlo isn't the goods, Andrade, Williams, Lara...ALL better opposition that anyone golovkin has fought at 160. I like Danny, but as was already mentioned, you can't claim Danny is chinny, and won't go passed rd x,y,z and THEN turn around and act like he's a monster in the division. It's the exact same as those claiming lemiuex is something special because of beating Stevens, that's all smoke and mirrors.

If one wants to make the argument that charlo and andrade are not A level, that's fine. I believe it's safe to say Lara has the skills to be at least considered a B+ fighter, if not A.

At this point, golovkin has fought 1 B level fighter, if you want to include a WW, I guess 2. However, cotto, Lara, trout, are all at least B, Floyd obviously schooling canelo and is A+, but at the end of the day, canelo has the better resume.

So, had canelo stayed at 154, and cleaned out his division (which I believe 154 has farrrrr more talent) he would've gotten so much ****, it would've been unreal.

Now, say golovkin should move up and "he's a small mw" or "he wants to collect all belts (bs excuse for not wanting to get his azz kicked)" and you're just ****ting on him and "hate him" or some type of racial remark.

So golovkin is a small mw, but canelo at 5'7.5 or 5'8 isn't small? It's all hypocrisy.

Why do you care so much about what some ggg fans say? If canelo chose to stay at 154 and fight everyone...fine, it's better than what he's been doing. Imho, i doubt he would have fought charlo or andrade. My point about claiming 154 to be stacked with talent, and 160 being full of bums, is that until those guys actually prove their talent...you just don't know. I'd say charlo is on his way, but what if he lost to Jacobs or lemieux? There's a reason why they fight the fights...and if canelo is going to fight at mw, then you should want him to face ggg.
