GGG weighed 169.9 on the next day weigh-in, and I can only image he went up to about 170-175 fight time are you gonna call him not a true middleweight ? Jacobs on the podium after the fight said he weighed about 175 before the fight. GGG upper body has significantly more mass that Jacobs.

What a ****** and misogynist comment. There seems to be a lot of ignorant immature people on this board, who are sexist and just spew idiocy and hatred. I wonder where the moderators are?

You could call De La Hoya maybe a cross-dressing drunk (which is childish and idiotic anyways, what does his personal partyng life have to do with him as a promoter anyways) but not a she-male. That is a huge insult to De La Hoya. Do you have the nuts to tell him that to his face, you childish troll, internet warrior?

And calling Canelo a "princess" just as other sexist immature punks on here have called him, or "a queen," what the heck does being a woman have to do with being a coward, if that's what you are trying to call Canelo, or, to put it more idiomatically, a "chicken?" Why do ignorant people like you have to insult all women as cowards, just because you hate a particular fighter?

Geez, so tired of this sexist crap all over the place, and the moderation? On vacation, I guess.

Canelo is lumbering, but his upper body movement is good. A lot of a Canelo v. GGG is going to come down to who gets the better of the exchanges with Canelo's back to the ropes. I like GGG more, but I think Canelo stands a decent chance of getting the better of those exchanges because GGG is there to be hit.

They may be in a noisy minority, but there are plenty who feel the WBA, IBO WBC and IBF champion lost to Brooklyn's Danny Jacobs, and that Golovkin didn't earn to walk out of the ring with his unified crown...

            Golovkin owes Jacobs a rematch

K2/Golovkin have proven to be utter b1tches, with the way they have conducted their business over the last 2-3 years..... so I HIGHLY doubt that Jacobs will get his rematch

also, Canelo beats Golovkin..... he has shown waaaaay more than Golovkin against MUCH better opposition

GGG needs space, stationary target and be able to have both feet planted before he fires. he has a rock solid chin, missile jab and great timing but Danny's handspeed and reflexes made him think twice.

Canelo has faster handspeed and better reflexes than Jacobs. a better uppercut, better defense and way better counter puncher. GGG fires one shot at a time, Canelo is gonna be slipping shots inside and ripping off combos like a beast.

GGG chin will keep him upright but he'll lose a wide decision. taking a beating.

              thats what I think

Canelo will look a class above Golovkin, and the result will not be close

Golovkin NEEDS to rematch Jacobs, because right now nobody can say with any certainly who is the best middleweight..... it could be any 1 of 3 guys at this point, although Canelo will rise to the top if he gets past Jnr.

pretty sure that Canelo will fight Saunders next, but if not, and if Golovkin doesn't happen in Sep (which it won't).... then Canelo should fight jacobs

I think Canelo charisma would very much surprise you If he spoke English, the guy clearly has a bit of a personality to him.

Canelo not speaking English hurts him in ways because If he knew English he really could expand his fanbase to the highest potential. Surprises me that he won't bother learning it considering he is always in USA a country which main language is English.

Danny Jacobs is not a real middleweight and that's why all the shernanigans surrounding the really early first weigh in then Jacobs being a no show for the second. What most also fail to realize is Jacobs LOST the fight and it was only close when looking at it from the perspective of a Jacobs fan who gave any round Danny wasn't knocked down in to him. Jacobs landed some good shots and his light heavyweight size prevented him from being knocked out but even with every advantage given him, he lost! GGG haters are now saying what a great boxer Canelo is and how now he'll beat GGG. Father time will be the downfall of GGG and not Canelo who folks have already forgot has avoided GGG to the point of giving up his title and moving down to fight blown up welterweights. As a boxer ? Well Mayweather embarrassed him and even his handlers know he's limited and that's why you see all the careful cherry picking of opponents. Lets be honest the only thing that makes Canelo so marketable is his ability to draw boatloads of fans because of his mexican heritage not his awesome boxing ability. Canelo can be defined as a young mexican fighter who has beaten some of the best smaller, past their prime fighters still active today. He should fight a few active middleweight contenders before he gets a shot at the title. Why reward him for running away

                    this is absurd !!

You're wrong, he owes Jacobs nothing!
What title of Jacobs was on the line at the weekend, what did Jacobs lose?
There is no owing of anything, there is no contract which says If the fight is close a rematch needs to happen.

The only person who would have been owed a rematch is GGG If he lost, but fact remains he didn't.
