Will Golovkin get more credit for edging Jacobs than Ward for edging Kovalev?

GGG fans will have a real headache trying to justify Golovkin getting the no 1 p4p ranking after what happened last night. Barely beat Jacobs, and deep down inside alot of them know the decision was dodgy. So, can we admit that Ward is a superior p4p boxer than Golovkin considering that Kovalev was ranked higher than Jacobs?

That would be logical Ward is clearly a superior fighter, but we know Lil Ginas aren't logical fans. A close fight with a B level fighter will be better than a close fight with a P4P fighter in their eyes.

Huh, both fights were close but GGG dropped and battered jacobs.

Ward won a fight were he was dropped and wobbled.

I don't see the obsession with knockdowns. You know that was flash knockdown verging on a push. How many rounds did you give Golovkin past the 6th?

It wasn't just a knock down. Danny Jacobs who is a KO artist himself did nothing to slow GGG down. He was happy to survive. You would have to give danny all the close rounds to give him the win. I had it even rounds by the end of the fight with the the KD being the difference.

Danny is getting a fake win for doing better than expected and casuals usually overhype that.

            Golovkin was very disappointing
I felt kovalev won the ward fight and ward does no favours with his antics in the rematch talk

P4P 1 open at the moment

GGG cant be P4P number one.. He has no defense he is not slick, sharp, fast he has just power. One dimensional fighter cant be p4p. Maaaaaaan

Eh not a big fan of nobody on that list, but personally from my own scoring I give GGG props because I felt he won the fight closely. Ward I felt the same, but with Kovalev being the close winner, so GGG gets more credit for being the clear close fight legit winner IMO Ward vs Kovalev was dodgy as hell for Ward he should have gotten a draw max.

Why was the decision dodgy exactly?
