Of course not. GGG is 35. He only has a few money making years left at best. He out landed Jacobs, did it in more rounds, out threw Jacobs, landed at a higher connect %, and scored the only knockdown. This fight was an underdog doing better than people thought he would. It wasn't even all that close. Why run it back for no money when Jacobs had his chance and was beaten in EVERY area?

All I'm gonna say is if Floyd had walked away from a "close" decision like that without a rematch, most people here wouldn't have taken kindly to that. Hell, he gave and won the immediate rematches and they still don't take kindly to it.

"Lose twice (GGG to Jacobs)" "less talented, less confident guy (Canelo)."

        EXCUSE ME???

Jacobs comes in easily 15-20 pounds heavier than GGG. He has WAY LONGER arm reach. He is much faster both on hands and legs, BY FAR and he is the younger, in-his-prime fighter.

YET, he honestly fought like a coward all night, avoiding GGG and counter-punching him only. He hugged him a million times. Being the much bigger guy, HE GOT SENT TO THE ROPES time and time again and he never did so to GGG except maybe a couple of times, because GGG was tired, not because Jacobs was the aggressor. Ah and he got knocked down by the much smaller, slower and older guy.

He was outlanded. He was hurt, and he NEVER hurt GGG. He never ever gained his respect. Just because he did some RIDICULOUS bravado gestures (just gestures, he never went on the attack, he never was the aggressor) when he got hit by GGG, and he landed a few spectacular counterpunches, but most of his really fast punches went to GGG's gloves, arms, shoulders or just into the air, people who hate GGG are saying ridiculous things like it was a "robbery."

Your guy Jacobs, if he wants to ever be a true champion, better be the aggressor, the brave guy, specially when he has ALL THE ADVANTAGES in size, weight, reach, speed. Fighting like a coward running around all fight, going in reverse and hugging GGG all night, is not exactly what a champion does.

And BTW I am not even a GGG fan, anyone who sees my posts can see that I consider him a hype-job just as much as Canelo is. But I can't stand cowardly tricky "fighters" who never ever engage in spite of having all the advantages, and then, they cry robbery at the end of a fight. Next time, be more a man, chase GGG, go for the KO. They could not have taken away a KO from him. But he never was even remotely close to that. It was GGG putting up the pressure, looking for the KO all night.

Canelo WILL NOT RUN SCARED OF GGG. He may be the counterpuncher but I am sure he will engage and he will attack. So that "less talented" bull**** is just your opinion. Canelo is a combination puncher, very, VERY accurate, faster than Jacobs and stronger and NOW he has much better defense than when he fought Floyd and Lara. If you hate both GGG and Canelo, it's fine, but your claims don't really have a leg to stand on.

Most people will prefer a war between two natural punchers in a slug fest as opposed to another semi-boring fight with one guy running around, hugging and sometimes doing some fancy but inaccurate and timid quick combinations, even though he looked easily two divisions above GGG.

          The haters are so mad!

Boxing has waited too long for its biggest fight. Let Golovkin get his last belt, which was always his goal, and let's see him fight Canelo.

Jacobs isn't going anywhere (unless he moves up in weight.) He's going to be the best middleweight available after Golovkin and Canelo settle their score.

Your clinging to this one knockdown determines the whole fight theory. Golovkin deserved the round for the knockdown but not the whole fight.
No you don't get it. Rounds are scored round by round. Jacobs flurries won him rounds in which Golovkin was inactive but even if you win a round with twenty power punches (which Btw are anything but jabs) it doesn't cancel out people winning rounds consistently which Golovkin did off the jab, winning on the outside round after round. My point is a guy with no defence, fighting a guy with speed and power like Jacobs would've been marked up and knocked down. In fact it was the other way around. Jacobs befuddled himself by switching southpaw and getting knocked down and having his head knocked back with a jab. Every single fight a guy flurries against Golovkin he puts his hands up, takes steps back and regroups. This is ring generalship. But Jacobs was going back consistently. So which is it, Golovkin has no defence and can't get out the way or he has rubber skin that doesn't mark and a terminator head? Try boxing even at a low level with no defence. The fact is people don't recognise a pressure fighter with a good defence. Closing the distance with the jab is what you do against a tall fast guy with good head movement. He won more rounds and landed more overall. For robbery watch Chavez Whitaker. For a good close fight watch this one.

Exactly, Golovkin landed less hooks, right hands, and uppercuts. For instance in round 6(according to compubox) G landed 11 jabs and 3 power punches. Jacob's landed 3 jabs and 11 power punches. Which would you consider to have had the cleaner effective punches? Would you rather land 11 jabs or 11 power punches?!?!? You don't got the answers sway!

Your right Jacob's got himself off balance and deserved to get sat down and loose the round. Great point! I agree.

Ring generalship is controlling the style and pace of the fight. Not backing away to block. That's just called blocking. Unless your suggesting that he's comtrolling the pace of the fight by blocking?

Golovkin went back quite a bit from these flurries. Was that a fight plan?. Lol. Taller guys generally fight backwards to use their reach. That was Jacob's fight strategy. Reach advantage is nullified when going forward. That's basic boxing.

Unless your suggesting G's strategy would be to get backed off constantly by being blistered with flurries?

I've seen the fight already, thanks.

A power punch on punch stats is just any punch that isn't a jab. A head snapping jab is a better quality punch than a slapping left hook for instance. If you are ignoring the fact that Golovkin well out landed Jacobs overall than why take into account so called power punches that vary in quality. You are right that tallet fighters seek to box from the outside. This was Jacobs tactic. Of he was so successful why was he being out jabbed? Why was his head snapped back so often? How can I outland you but be confused an befuddled? How can you turn southpaw, confuse yourself and get knocked down and be befuddling me? If it's such a robbery why does nobody apart from haters on here think so? Why does Jacobs concede that maybe it was a draw? Why does a guy with no defence, being hit with good quality power punches have not a mark on him? Are you suggesting he has superhuman skin? No defence and never floored despite fighting good punchers. How does he do this? Why does a guy not being hit with much get marked up and hurt, and give away a knockdown? Accept the guy lost. He fought well. You may even have thought he won. But a robbery? Don't insult people who know boxing.
