Whats Shakur's comment got to do with anything? Okay it was a close fight & that usually means either guy could get the decision with boxing scoring making lil f#cking sense. Anyway GGG got the close decision. And Shakur apparently got some money. So.......

And is Ward's comment even necessarily directed at this situation? Thats the thing about twitter. In 140 characters context can be lost easily. But maybe there is more tweets to go along with this stance idk. But okay they selling fear Ward. Fear sells solidly enough so why wouldn't they? This is standard operating procedure in boxing. KO's sell better than high level boxing to a decision like it or not. I can appreciate both, some can only appreciate one, fair play to those guys & thats their thing.

I thought the same thing. I think it was directed at Kovalev and his team mentioning his name and trying to bully him into signing a deal.

Regardless, once again, we are talking about Andre Ward about situations that have nothing to do with boxing. This has been going on since 2009 and it's getting tiring.

Canelo is stalling, there is no money to be made at 168 (Ward is not a PPV draw or filling up venues outside of Oakland) and Cotto decided he wasn't really a MW after all after beating a gimp Martinez. Man's got to pay the bills from time to time. He did offer to come down to 154 to fight Floyd, and then there were crickets.
If you're a middleweight and supposedly and ATG you don't fight welterweights, bottom line. Like Roy said, if you want war you gotta go find it. When Ward and Roy couldn't find war they moved up. When GGG couldn't find war he fought a welterweight.

It was directed at Kovalev and GGG. It was posted after the decision. Ward was in camp with Jacobs. Ward is saying they said everybody was afraid of GGG and Kovalev. Kovalev and GGG were unbeatable and monsters. Jacobs and Ward proved them wrong. They were selling fear with GGG and Kovalev but we didn't buy it.

Um, duh? Seems like the ones who keep saying they aren't buying in- bought in a long time ago.

Does no one else find this funny?

They were selling fear....... and everyone bought in, apparently... people are literally making Golovkin out to be some divine figure !

              Its crazy lol
To be honest, the people who constantly give GGG hate are the ones giving Golovkin that platform and holding him to the high standard, these people have put him in Floyd's place, albeit GGG is without the large casual fan base but the hardcore fans are all on board with him.

I think the fact that people don't know how to score a fight very worrying, especially considering that these people are on a boxing forum and they're pertaining to be a so called hardcore fan of this sport.
Boxing has some smart fans, but I have to be honest, our fanbase has a large portion of idiots that don't have a clue what they're talking about.
Just take a gander on the forums, it's riddled with **** posters.

Damn you a Ward interpreter lol.

But okay whatever...wtf are "they" supposed to sell? A guy sitting out for a couple years who b$tches & moans about damn near everything?

And hey fair enough to Andre speaking his mind &/or trying to rev up some sort of fan base (lovers & haters) with some of his recent comments, but this comment seems like nothing about nothing.

Ward's talking brave because he sees GGG slipping.

GGG still knocks his ass out.

Kovalev is just trying to sell him fear. Ward apparently doesn't purchase fear.
