I think Lomachenko and Crawford are the two best fighters on the planet currently - they just have to prove a bit more, but I expect them to do just that.

Andre Ward is not the fighter he was - but still top 5. Kovalev I would put in the top 5 also, but I couldn't put him above the two guys above. Roman for his accomplishments would round out my top 5. You can't say a guy fighting up in his 4th weight division and struggling a bit more because of the fact that he is fighting bigger naturally stronger guys should be penalised, his career defines why they made the term.

He's penalized because of his lack of defense. In the lower weight classes he was more powerful than the other fighters and didn't have to rely on defense. Now that he's moved up he can't overpower his opponents. Take Floyd for example when he moved up to welterweights, his power decreased but his defense was superb.
