Hmm I wonder what it could be. perhaps because Danny cheated to outweigh him and had height and reach? Still lit up Danny's face. All that weight didn't stop him from spitting blood

He found his level last night. He is and has always been a B level fighter with A+ power. Last night he fought with his first solid B, B+ fighter and arguably lost.

Nothing wrong with that - Jacobs is a very good fighter, so is Golovkin. But what I have had to listen to and the unrealistic comparisons which have been drawn, I am going to revel in this latest reality check, grab a beer and join me.

I also have a message for the Golovkin fans - STOP the crazy historical comparisons and unrealistic views. Your hero is a good fighter, but you have now seen his competitive level, enjoy the rest of his career like I will with realistic expectations. He is fun, exciting, and great for boxing. But he is NO Hagler, no Monzon, no Hopkins. etc.
GGG is getting older and fought a younger LH and still beat him

Its like some people here got really happy because GGG went 12 rounds. Like that was some kind of lose to him.

I picked ggg to KO in the 6th round. I was dead wrong, but dont make it seem like jacobs was toying with GGG or something near that. They guy got dropped , buzzed, his head was flying back alot of times in the fight, he ate jabs just like the rest of the previous guys ggg fought.

So you(ggg haters) are the ones who need to cut these BS. Have a great day
yea haggler barely beat and did not hurt a blown up LW the small and short armed Duran and got beat by vito anterfermo. haglers biggest fights against LW WW JM's

Boxing a longer, taller, quick fighter has always been a no-no. I'm barely a fan of the guy now because if that's how he(courtesy of Sanchez) is gonna treat anyone with some power, he is not worth watching. I wonder if it is too late to fix him at this point, he badly needs a new trainer but I doubt it will happen.
Come on dude. I don't know if you are a Golovkin fan - but you sound a bit in denial. Lots of fighters change style from Ams to Pros'. It suits him to be more aggressive because of the punching power he has, its what has got him this far.

Anyway I am pretty sure he split results with Dirrel, and that doesn't surprise me. Dirrel waits too much, he is a counter puncher who doesn't take the initiative.

There is no doubt Golovkin has class, he has pedigree, the jab is superb, good timing, rings smarts, but he is not what a lot of you guys think he is, he never was. The hype has been way over the top, he found his level last night.

I will tell you another thing, I was pretty sure Canelo would tune him up before last night (check my post history) but now I am 90% sure. Different style to Jacobs, but Canelo will light GGG up. Canelo has too many tools for him, he will neutralise his jab.

So you wanna blame him for not being aggressive enough against a guy who ran away or clinched the whole time?

If only Canelo had the confidence in his abilities that you have LOL. He gets hit way too much to be the favourite.

That's not true. Jacobs had a small knot on his eye and 666 had a small knot on his left cheek. They were similar just different spots.

Dirrell is a a much better fighter than Jacobs and I'm not sure what you are talking about waiting too much because he was countering everytime Golovkin threw. Golovkin fought him by falling into his chest to smother him which is the tactic I would have expected vs Jacobs although obviously not as aggressive, this is the pro's you can't risk that much. Unless you are just thinking about the past it Dirrell vs Degale. Jacobs is still the fighter he was before he fought Golovkin he didn't show anything new, he didn't ascend a level, his power still fades quickly, he still slaps, he still crosses his legs and he still has a weak chin evident by the amount of times Golovkin hurt him. It's pretty plain to see that Golovkin was not fighting to his abilities but rather showing a disciplined demeanor to follow his gameplan, which was horrendous. When your trainer is stressing a guys power all build up and has you come out boxing the taller, longer, and quicker fighter that's pretty evident the trainer is bad.

Golovkin never showed any fire, he let Jacobs off the hook constantly, he never let loose, never threw with full power, his punches carried hesitation and were thus very slow. It was very obvious he fought over cautious(which I attribute to the gameplan) and not to his best abilities.

And I'm not a fan of the guy anymore until he learns to think for himself and wanted Jacobs to win. The sht I saw in there was like some of Robert Garcia's fighters where Garcia ruins their performance by having the much better fighter, much stronger and powerful fighter come out stressing the jab and going to a decision with a fighter he had no business going the distance with. Unfortunately I don't remember the guys name at the moment. Some powerful, eastern euro at welterweight.

666 let Jacobs hit him in the face all night and they still got the punch stats all wrong...let me guess, 666 was blocking the shots with his face!

                      Jacobs landed more power punches.
