Fights are scored by rounds won, not total punches landed or punch volume. You can out punch someone but lose more rounds and thus lose the fight. You can get 3 knockdowns and lose the fight.

Near enough everyone on twitter is dis*****g the decision. I'm not a fan of either and didn't care who won. But Jacobs won that fight IMO.

Yeah I will say this...Gennady, outside of his incredible power, is a pretty basic boxer. Average skills. Nice jab, good at cutting the ring (kinda struggled with it tonight though), and incredibly elite power. Take the incredible power away though and replace it with average MW power and he's probably barely in the top 10 when it comes to MW's. Hell he may not even make into the MW top ten if he had just average power...
