Canelo Pros - More accurate puncher than Jacobs, better chin?? (maybe) (really there's no proof of this since Canelo has never fought a Pirog level puncher/ fighter at middleweight), Good combination puncher
Canelo Cons - Much shorter reach, worse foot movement, less proven power at middleweight, Stamina issues.
I think Golovkin has an easier win over Canelo because Golovkin will be able to wear down the shorter guy with his jab and then start busting him up with power shots. Canelo won't be able to move around the ring all night trying to avoid the jab and that will be his downfall. Jacobs had both the foot movement and length to negate some of GGG's jab and even he was being picked off with way more jabs than he should have been. Golovkin's jab was the punch that was controlling much of that fight.
Are you kidding me? Do you really think size and reach didn't play a factor on that fight? You are ******. Jacobs has power, boxing skills, size and chin to beat GGG, but he didn't because GGG was the better man, he outlanded him. Jacobs has more power, is bigger than Canelo, is faster than Canelo has faster feet than Canelo and a large slow mexican with slow feet in front of GGG will be GGG's favorite dish! A big ass slick fighter with 90% KO power in Jacobs is NOT!
Nobody EVER called Jacobs a slick fighter BEFORE this fight. That's the point GGG is so limited and one dimensional that he let a fighter known as a slugger with a weak chin out box him and make it look easy. What will a more skilled, more "slick" canelo do to GGG. LMAO
GGG would jab Canelo to death. I dont think GGG will stop Canelo but i think he would jab canelo's face off from the outside.
Canelo has fast hands but he has slow feet and doesnt have the length and overall size of jacobs. GGG has deceptively quick feet. He can get out of range surprisingly quick if he wants to.
Haha, that's exactly what I wrote just before I read your post. I agree 100%.
i'd say 50-50 fight
i think golovkin must KO canelo, otherwise he'd lose by decision
Exactly. If canelo takes away GGGs power and this becomes a tactical 12 round boxing match there is no way GGG is winning a decision. canelo is simply too skilled and too smart for him. Your one hope is GGG can knock canelo out. If the KO doesn't happen like the Jacobs fight he is getting schooled.
To beat GGG? GGG just fought a 6'1 cruiserweight with 90% KO ratio, along with a great defense and counter punching skills, feet, and heart, that is so much more durable with all that weight advantage against GGG.
Against a 5'8 1/2 Canelo that is only going to be 5 pounds heavier against GGG, with a shorter reach an with cemented feet.
You Golovtards are utterly insane, I swear.
A fighter's weight-class isn't determined by what they weigh on fight night, otherwise Golovkin is a light-heavyweight? And Jacobs isn't 6'1, sensationalising everything in your head won't change what is reality.
GGG was $8 on to win 1 in a 2 horse race he should have killed DJ, go through history and see what happens to it hardest punchers when they cant hit you.
Canelo has a good fight coming up where he can fill into the weight and it will be a good test of his power as Chavez is big and tough, if he is impressive and then he fights GGG in Sep Canelo has been groomed for that fight beautifully, after tonight he is got a real good shot of beating GGG, it aint no walking the park now, if you cant see that youre not looking.

Golovkin tries to keep pressure on the fight, yet doesn't really seem to like to try to throw anything on the inside; Saul Alvarez's hope against hope is that he has an opponent that comes to him, for him to fire off his head/body combinations on the inside.
