The criteria for scoring fights is round by round with a 10 point must system..nw at the end of the fight....i am a fan of triple ggg but he lost a close decision and in the process looked slow and one dimensional

Did you watch it on Boxnation? I did, and Barry Jones was over generous to Jacobs with his scoring. He had Jacobs up by 2 rounds going into the 12th, and there were a couple of rounds Barry gave to Jacobs that, to me, Golovkin edged.

It was a close fight and I wouldn't haver screamed robbery if Jacobs had got the nod, but I think the judges got it right.

Having said that, I thought GGG was struggling to pull the trigger, and missed a lot of chances to let shots go that I would have expected him to take. Maybe he just had an off night, maybe Jacobs' movement and fast but heavy hands made him over cautious .. or maybe GGG is sliding over the hill.

I have a lot more respect for Danny's ability now than I had before, and his punch resistance was much better than I expected. Maybe the size advantage he had helped him absorb Golovkin's shots. He did look a lot bigger.

Usually I would agree but in this case the KD wasn't the story of the fight. The story of the fight was GGG got beat to the punch repeatedly. Look lost at times. And had no answer for the surprisingly better boxer.

He was repeatedly beaten to the punch and in every exchange Danny was scoring the cleaner work, the judges I won't be too critical as Jacobs allowed it to be closer than it should have been and GGG's power shots were hurting him, GGG looked like he had another gear and DJ looked shattered at the end.

Fight could have gone either way, I think a rematch is in order but doubt GGG will want to go through that again he was fortunate tonight.

Cong**** to both men, people talking shhh as usual. This was not a robbery it was a close fight that could've swung either way and credit to Jacobs despite all the shhh talkers who were in here talking about him like was a shhh fighter. Jacobs is a great fighter and should command that respect. He has a lot of advantage he didn't capitalize on possibly because of the weight and he took away a lot of Golovkin's arsenal but there isn't anyone at 160 that is going to have an easy night against him. Great f'ing fight, absolutely great fight and tons of heart by both men.

Pussie g lost this fight period. No other way around it.
