If there was no scoring "miscalculation"....

...would people still claim robbery? It was a very close fight, that could have went either way. I think a draw was sufficient, and this scoring miscalculation is bull****. However, if there was no scoring problem, and initially Barrera won the split decision, would anyone be crying 'robbery'?

I would. I had it a round for Juarez. He was landing the more effective shots, albeit he kept getting tagged by jabs.

I don't think you could cry robbery initially because it was a close fight in my opinion, despite the HBO crew leading you to believe that MAB had clearly won. When I see those scorecards with the obvious changes in the 12th and total's it makes you wonder, I'm more dissapointed for Rocky who thought he had atleast earned a draw then to hear that it's changed and if he saw these cards he should be calling his lawyer LOL.

Ofcourse not, people were crying robbery with the draw saying Barrera did enough to win, but now with the scoring miscalculation everyone is like "oh Juarez was robbed" and coming up with all these bs conspiracy theories. **** that, Barrera won the fight!!!

Some people are even saying HBO scored if for Barrera even though he lost so it would seem more acceptable to the public after the real decision, Boxing Scene's scores were basically identicle to HBO, were they in on the conspiracy to? If the fight was fixed then the judges wouldn't have waited till after the decision was read out and then scribbled a 10 over the 9, they would have just given a couple more of the early close rounds to Barrera.

Bottom line is if there was no scoring miscalculation then no one woulda said ****!

I had Juarez by a round. The 2nd round was probably the toughest to gauge who won. There was also some instances when Barerra could have stole rounds, but again did the judges score those late rallies for Barerra or did they score the round for Juarez after an almost complete round of winning?

I can see how people had it a draw but there is no way Juarez won the fight. I had it 115-113 Barrera. I gave Barrera round 11 but it could have gone either way, however, Barrera clearly won rounds 1,2,4,5,6 and 7.

As with somebody's post earlier... the word "Robbery" is thrown aroudn entirely too muched. Unless somebody scored the fight 108-100 or something to that extent. A split decision for Barerra was hardly a robbery. The fight was close and could've gone either way. A good example of a robbery is if anybody remembers the contendor rematch special where it had Brinkley vs Bonsante... that's a robbery.
