What exactly is it about GGG that certain boxing fans don't like?

why do GGG fanatics want so badly for other people to love him too?

he's exciting? we all know that's subjective.

"if GGG was black you would love him.." well we can play that game all day "if Floyd was white you would love him too"..

there's fans motivated by race and nationalities. that's nothing new. go all the way back to Jack Johnson era. in fact sports in general is like that. boxing even exploits it with fights billed as "Mexico vs Puerto Rico".

this sht goes both ways. I can also make a thread asking why is Andre Ward hated. he's clean cut, a family man and resume is high quality. I could point out the undeniable fact that Ward hate started as soon as he wanted to fight GGG. these fans called him a bully, said he was a nobody who was not worthy of GGG, told him shut up and accept whatever terms from the "A" side (164 lbs), told him to instead fight Kovalev. another "leave GGG alone" moment.

"you only want GGG to fight Ward so he can lose..not fair" that's really all there is to it. they're protecting him from any fighter that could potentially beat him. or saying any fighter that wants it must fight on his terms or else they are afraid.

look at how many tears flowed because Jacobs outweighed him by 5-10 lbs. something so commonplace. now they wanna change rules and have boxers suspended. any form of "disadvantage" for GGG is unfair or hating.

I'm done.. and yes I'm a fan of GGG but I have no problem with anybody that doesn't like him. for whatever reason. you can't force mofos to think like you.

I wish this race sht gets left alone though. mofos getting banned left n right. just keep it boxing.

Why do so many boxers/journalists have him as pound for pound number 1 then? Its perfectly acceptable for fans to rate him up there as p4p elite when much of the boxing world does too...

What is there not to like? We are very lucky to be in this era to witness a supreme boxer like GGG.

Im just not thrilled by his straight up and down, basic style with no special effects. Im not going to jump on a fighter just because he can punch and sht, that means nothing to me.

Im not impressed.. he doesnt have the personality nor the looks to be a superstar. He is boring.

I never said people should dislike Ali or SRR too and anyone who is a true boxing fan should enjoy their style and most of all the fights they were involved in. Someone's dislike for Ali would be beyond boxing.

GGG, Khan, Bradley have all put on some of the best fights or best performances of recent years. Bradley v Provo was something you could show to an on boxing fan and convert them instantly, the same goes for Khan v Maidana or Khan v Garcia or Khan v just about anyone else. GGGs KO ability and style is straight out of the imagination of what a fighter should be.

So now, let me ask you, why as a boxing fan, would you dislike them?
